LOL

I <3 Get Your War On...

That first cartoon about the troops though... about as tasteless as John Kerry's joke heard 'round the world. Yes, there are some dumb dumb jarheads out there, but most soldiers I've ever known have had good hearts and brains in their heads... they just went the wrong way at some point. It's a case of putting your eggs in the wrong basket... they've got the strength, the dedication, and the courage to stand up for their country, and believe they're doing an honorable and good thing by joining the military. That, and it's one hell of a job opportunity for someone without a college education. From basic on, they're fed one line of bullshit after another to keep them in the dark, and keep doubts out of their heads that they're fighting for the good of our country. I don't pity them or think they're stupid for the choices they've made. I just wish the government that led them down their yellow brick road would answer for the shitty way the troops are being treated and stop angling for poor kids fresh out of high school.

Ya, it's not a cartoon. Delete it if you must, but I had to say something.

I think it vividly illustrates the similarities between suicide bombers and our military members. I don't for one second mean to diminish the sacrifices or the courage of our soldiers. Instead, I think the cartoon more clearly illustrates what we've forced our soldiers to do.

Unfortunate circumstances all around. How tragic.
