I completely agree with you. In fact, I might even be compelled to be on your side but...

lol the sanjaya of the political arena.
As I was saying, I would support you but you're all over the place. A real flip-flopper. The kind we'd never want to see the near the White House. Hypocrite much? Had a good chuckle over Ron Paul being called a Sanjaya of the political arena? Blasting others for using media buzzwords and irrelevant comparisons while engaging in said practice?

I'm sorry. I'm new to the forum but you're a tool. Please give me all your serious, highly intellectual reasons for supporting your candidate. Oh wait, you can't... still riding out the prelims to see which wagon you want on? Oh nothing beats a good ol' election.

The fact is that if Ron Paul were actually compared to someone in the political arena, by anyone other than FOX or CNN, comparisons would be drawn to JFK or MLK or perhaps even your founding fathers.

I challenge you to actually lay out what you believe in, who you support and why. Furthermore, I would love love to see your convictions stand up to any kind of intellectual discussion (for the sake of argument, we'll consider 'intellectual' to mean something that would be an accepted coherent statement in say, a university classroom) I would love to have an intellectual pissing match where facts are bandied about instead of BS, instead of political spin-mastery, instead of unbridled ignorance, instead of an all-American love of bullshit issues.

Otherwise... just stop posting, Snownuts. PRETTY FUCKING PLEASE? People who think (or not) like you are the greatest danger to America and the greater world you aim to police.

To other patriotic Americans who read this, I would like to flat out say that I respect all people of this Earth. In no way will I assert something like "Americans are stupid", but can any American on this board tell me your system is just dandy? Can anyone argue that? Statistics?

Furthermore, please have at least some sense of history... I keep hearing that it's supposed to repeat every once in a while. Patriotism is love of and duty to country, not love or duty to any one man or prescription. If the system isn't working and the nation is hurting, then fix it. Don't go out stirring up shitclouds to forget about your domestic troubles. Suspension of habeas corpus? Wire-tapping? Pfft. If that shit happened in France or England, riots would have gone down.

Nice try J, he has already posted what you asked for but you ignored it. ANd his post is quite to the point....that is the opposite of all over the place...Yet you are all over the place doesn't matter the topic, or who asks you to respond , sometimes multiple times over.

judging by his initial post hes not as stupid in his responses as you are, and is more than capable of answering for himself without some childish nonsense dropped by you.

No LPYW pretty much summed up what I was going to say. AGAIN. YET FUCKING AGAIN, someone on here has to take one tiny fragment and twist to fit their bullshit. When I called you all over the place, I meant that you are a hypocrite who admonishes practices you engage in. I in no way meant that your posts were hard to respond to.

As of now, I back Ron Paul. I find his discussion of the money markets apt, and his prescriptions for closer regulation of the Fed very wise. He opposes inflationary devaluation of American currency, which threatens to topple the American nation. All of the other candidates propose outrageous expenditures. The money for these expenditures is essentially printed out of thin air.

Note that in economic terms, the price of money in money markets is the interest rate. It is a basic reality [as in no matter how CNN manipulates the stock market figures] that if you print more money, the value of the dollar plummets. Bernanke (chairman of the Federal Reserve) simply dismisses Ron Paul saying that the Fed is looking to lower interest rates. When Bernanke says this, what you must realize is that this entails PRINTING MORE MONEY!!! Anyone catching a trend here? The current way of doing things is clearly not working.

But what if they just take some of the money out of the supply, in the hopes of increasing interest rates? Oh... damn... forgot about the credit crisis in the US money markets.

I very much believe in his policy for Iraq, and I respect that he has a knowledge and appreciation of the history of American intervention in the Middle East. Remarkably, he appears to be the only one that can think back further than the First Gulf War. He espouses views of multilateralism and not unilateralism--I will only comment that America's unilateralism has caused much of the backlash America is experiencing. NOTE: This does not mean I think 9/11 was good or justified, just in case any Guiliani-lovers are reading. It simply means that I realize that even America is not immune to criticism just because they're "number one".

Finally, he defends basic human rights like habeas corpus, and is very much in favour of Constitutional tradition. Relating back to unilateralism, he doesn't believe that the president should be able to do anything he so pleases, without consulting Congress. As far as I can tell from facts [so claims about WMDs are no longer count], the War in Iraq was about oil. I could understand chasing Bin Laden (despite training him), yet Bush never convincingly stated how Bin Laden = Hussein. Even if it was about pre-empting terrorism, that method has proving deadly and astronomically expensive. That method is no longer sustainable. It is obvious that the US should tighten up at home before they police everyone else. Anyone care to compare US security with airport security in the middle east? Keeping America safe was possible without all those troops even leaving America.

So....there are a few the ISSUES I agree with Ron Paul on. I am curious though? I understand that maybe people have ideological differences and different prescriptions for what should be done to better America. However, I would like to hear someone eloquently and logically set forth some of the arguments from other candidates. I haven't heard anyone speaking as much sense as Ron Paul. If you guys disagree with me, fine. But please start rebutting points on some of the issues that affect your nation. I haven't seen a debate on Fox yet where Ron Paul's issues were intelligently rebutted. Instead, I see snickering schoolboys smearing on the man, and not the message.

And if we must discuss the man, well why don't we discuss his voting record. No flip-flopping. Against the Gulf Wars, both of which turned out to be disastrous. Against funding dictators abroad. The man has principles, and he has voted consistently in line with his principles. I trust the man to follow through on his policies, unlike the other pandering candidates. Anyone getting fuzzy on the difference between Republican and Democrat anymore? No wonder. And all this character assassination towards Paul is ridiculous. Shifty claims of his bigotry abound to hissing and clucking, while the current President has a DUI in his checkered history, and apparently is incapable of raising daughters who aren't drunkards. If you guys WANT to talk only BULLSHIT issues, I will certainly do it but we all know they help nothing.

well i seem to be not the only person to supporty john mccain these days-

just the first to see the trend approaching

RealClearPolitics - Election 2008 - New Jersey Republican Primary

check out new jersey, last february giuliana was winning the repub race here by 40 POINTS !!!! Now mccain is winning by 5 points..... thats 45% change in favor of mccain in less than ayear....

look at all the other ones and u will see a similar tale. mccain , even having lost in michigan, is gaining more and more in the polls every day.

AND he beats Hillary in every head to head poll for at least a few months....

president mccain.

that has a nice ring to it oui?

Abusive content removed by forum moderator.

A nice ring to it? Yeah, I like Ron Paul because he's got a nice, conservative style of dress. Plus Clinton is just a silly woman, and McCain has a horse-face. America doesn't need a horse-faced president, but a sharp dresser. Additional content removed.

Again, you are the prime example of what is wrong with American democracy. Just because he's in the lead, right? You support him because others do? It sure feels great to be with a winner. You know who else has lots of electorate support? Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Yet, you would instantly dismiss his widespread support because the greater opinions of non-Americans don't seem to matter.

Your country is becoming an international punchline. And the saddest part is that you can't argue that America's fuckups are politicians' fuckups. The funny thing about representative democracy is that all these US politicians people despise REPRESENT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. Is that sinking in? Something else that should become apparent is that you have less rights than people in France right now. You know, France? That backwards, vile country that told you to suck it when you asked them to tag along to Iraq?

I have great faith in all people of the world, but Americans as a political force and as a people are creating a giant shit-bed with their complacency, and mis-education. It's only a matter of time before you realize you must lie in said shit-bed.

EDIT: Come to think of it, the greater Canadian public needs to speak up a bit too. Is this a North American thing? Cause like....FUCK... I want to move to Europe.

apart from hurling obscenities and sounding like a 3 year old i dont know what point your trying to make?

first of al, your the douche who follows the herd by jumping on the anti-snownuts bandwagon, your not the first nor the last to think hes uber clever for telling me that im stupid (but not why u disagree).

second, you support ron paul for president, so your opinion is about as worthwhile, eh, maybe a little less worthwile, than a pile of dog droppings.

...if ud like to explain yourself a little more that would be great, but saying that u hate america and then calling me dumb for picking a president who would keep america strong and allow us to win the war we are now fighting is pretty retarded..... obviously if im not anti-america like u, i woudltn support someone whos just gonna ruin our country, like u do.

clearly your anger must come from jealousy. or else if not jealously, then ignorance

and i assume your talking about the same france that just elected sarkozy, the pro-american right winger, who pledged to repair relations with america , the country which apparently no one wants anything to with....(except 95% of the world).
