The system is set up so that the democrats "set it up"
and the Republicans "knock it down". It's a sham good cop bad cop routine. Why would I want to play along? Again, I vote my conscience. Not "let's beat the other side" contest I vote Nader because of what he's done not because he can win. So if your candidate lost, you basicly threw your vote away? That's called a Sore Winner. Demeaning my voice because you're afraid your candidtate can't beat the other guy.

You have every right to vote for nader. But it seems to me you're the only one in this thread demeaning other people's voices. Waves posted a coherant, well phrased explaination as to why he thinks voting for Nader in this election is a vote for McCain. And he's absolutely correct. He is not demeaning your voice because he is pointing out that people who vote for nader would almost unanimously vote for the democrat if he wasn't running. He is stating a fact that when people vote for a candidate completely out of the running, their votes cyphen off from the totals of the nearest viable candidate. Again, it's not that you don't have the right or reason to vote for Nader, but it's just as "conscious" to vote for the lesser of two evils, and, in my opinion, even moreso. Look, if Obama has a 10 point lead going into election day, I might even vote for nader just to help a 3rd party candidate get a good showing in a national election. But if it's close, voting for anything other than a viable candidate, to me, is selfish. In 92(?), when Ross Perot ran, a third party candidate (before he imploded) had a chance at winning. This would be a completely different issue.

it would simply be a shame if nader took enough votes away from obama to give mccain the election, but im pretty sure thats not going to happen. so you can go ahead and vote however you want, its not going to change the fact that barack obama is going to be the next president of the united states.

I'll vote for the candidate that is against the war and actually has a chance of getting to the white house to do something about it. Obviously Nader can't win so voting for him will get you nothing. mccain is mccain. hillary orgasms at the thought of pushing the button other than the one on her vibrator. I won't say Obama will end the nightmare but I'll vote for him because he is the only hope.

Perhaps you didn't read me.
I've always voted 3rd Party since I could vote. Look up the very first American third Party: Anti-Freemason American Political Party. Demeaning? He just said I "threw" my vote away. Who should I have voted for: Clinton "DeMolay" 'don't ask don't tell' Kerry "skull and bones" Gore/Leiberman "republican double agent" "I conceid" or Maybe they'll be another Democratic Riot after they pick Hillary "goldwater hardcore conservative" forcing you to vote for her. You think you have a choice? This is who you will vote for. This is who they parade around. This person is more popular. You have no freedom of choice. I don't care if mcain wins and another 8 years of Bush. America is going to have to learn the hard way. And it's not the Democrats that build up and republicans break down. It's a Title to a scam: "You'll Set'em up, I'll knock'em down" It cooperation between the two seemingly opposing parties, sometimes the democats build the war, tax, service, some times the republicans build up the war, tax, service. Then the other party steps in and nothing is accomplished or is half-asses. I'll never vote Democrate or Republican.

Here's a little insight into the "Horse Race Gambling Mentality" of Elections.
Independent Lens . AN UNREASONABLE MAN . The Film | PBS "The Democratic Party was looking for a scapegoat, and I think effectively tried to paint, and did paint, Ralph Nader as the reason why they were not in office, not the fact that ten million more Democrats voted for George Bush than voted for Ralph Nader."

i think it sad that you would rather see america go through another 8 years of conservative rule, than just vote for obama and make sure the best man for the job, with a realistic chance of winning, gets in office.

I don't like america.
What's there to be proud of? America must fail. By it's own hands, no less. Nader is the best man for the job. The Democaratic Party will not let obama or Billary do anything. The Democrates are more Corporations in Sheeps clothing.

Maybe Ron Paul, I haven't decided.
I like Obama pretty well but honestly I just can't muster the faith to vote for him. I'd much rather go third party so I'm not responsible for whatever bullshit our next prez throws our way. Not to mention Obama's ideals are unrealistic and some of the things he says he will do are a bit ridiculous.

I'm probably going to vote for Ron Paul out of disgust of the primary choices I have.

idk, while i do have liberal tendencies(after all, a few billion on healthcare vs. a trillionayear(off the books) is not exactly a great populist platform) i've come to realize the issues are far deeper then any mainstreame canadaite would dare address and still have a shot at winning
