Admin is aware of the communities concerns, and will watch future modding. That may not be what you asked for, but it's really better than what you asked for. imo.
His modding falls into a grey area, you said something similar yourself gh. The grey is being defined more clearly.
Notice how many mods are posting, and so few members. We aren't closing ranks, we happen to agree and want to share our opinions as posters, and as mods.

And other members want you gone from the site.. Letting you stay was a bad compromise as well.. Members are already sending pm's about how they still want you gone if it is going to be up to the members on things like this..

I don't understand it.

All we want is the ability to decide which members have earned enough respect to moderate our discussions, its not like we're throwing everybody out, its not like a mass rebellion where to concede some perceived defeat at the hands of the rebellion will mean the end of the world.

All we want is to be able to say, look, this one kid is a bit young, he has demonstrated clearly in various instances (pm-ing saddam because he could notbe placed on ignore etc) proven to be irresponsible and has earned a great deal of DISRESPECT for his stated views on cannabis, law reform, industrial hemp, not to mention his trolling.

I am not though, nor would I consider myself suitable for modship. I have the maturity to know I am unsuitable for that sort of behaviour, the regulating of others, because, as budhead pointed out to me yesterday, dubstyles behaviour in A&P is no better than mine.

Yet he's threatening my membership, (and the membership of others) and refusing to act on behalf of some regular posters in the forum who feel as I do about the removal of dubstyles access to moderating abilities.

There is no planned coup for your job planned that I am aware of.

We just want the same respect you expect to be shown to mods shown to us.

Having a person who has earned as much disrespect from as many members as dubstyle311 as a moderator is not how to get the respect you deem yourself worthy of receiving.

^^ I don't think it's the fact he's a conservative, it's that he trolls the board he mods. Again tho, if he was just a member I don't think he's been trolly enough to warrant a ban like J-wonder, and I don't see him abusing his mod powers, so I don't really see why he should be booted.

I will say, however, that if Dubstyle hasn't been spoken to at least once or twice by another mod about some of the crap he's pulled, then there is a problem. Some of the shit he's posted has been CLEARLY posted for no reason but to stir shit.

sounds like a good explanation.. i think it just comes down to, do you think dubs doing it to just fuck with shit, or are those just his own opinions he believes in..

i talk to dub all the time in irc and consider him a buddy even though we almost share none of the same views. his ideas are fucking insane most of the time, but its ok, those are his views.

what im getting at is IMHO dub doesn't do much to purposely stir shit up, he wants to have discussions and arguments about it, but means no harm.

Being Republican means

It's a short comment with no support that is clearly looking to start some sort of war.

Every time I make a post I don't just level baseless claims. I always provide some sort of reasoning for my statement or question and I always put out a point of discussion or question that can be responded to intelligently if one so desires.. There is something meaningful that can be responded to in my threads.
