'Die quickly!' Brilliant Alan!

The comments this guy made shouldnt be appologised for, they should be rewarded.
I get that its a sensitive and polarizing topic for you guys to struggle with as a nation. is it too why do I have to pay someones way etc etc..
but nationalized health care works! It really does.

over here the overwhelming reputation that america has when thinking about hospitals is. if you ain't got insurance, they'll let you die on the street. right in front of them.
then theres the other side. hey, you can get travel insurance but dont break your leg in america, or youll be in debt till you die. make em fly you home first!

just some things to think about. Our syste accomodates both the public health and private benifits.. eg
the gov isnt going to send you to a dentist. but if you break your leg and end up in emergency, the most youll pay for is the ambulance ride..maybe

Im sure some will pop up soon to express why this guy is wrong, I don't see why, I agree he should be praised not forced to apologize for wanting to do something good for the people.

There should be more politicians like this, who look at evidence and use their brain to analyze information before opening their mouths.

Please, pass the word, our hospitals will treat you. Rich or poor, you will be cared for, you won't 'die in the street'.

However, you will die financially after the fact.

This country doesn't need health care reform, thats a misnomer, what this country needs is health insurance regulation and a reigning in of the industry.

But as long as we allow lobbyists to fill our 'public servants' pockets with cash, it just aint gonna happen.

And to stay on topic...

"That is about the most mean-spirited partisan statement that I've ever heard made on this floor, and I, for one, don't appreciate it," Rep. Jimmy Duncan, R-Tennessee

Oh, your feelings get hurt? How about you fucking do something about it then asshole?

I think people were more pissed that he used the word holocaust to describe 44,000 americans dying each year because of no insurance. I guess using the H word in any context other than what happened to the Jews is a no no.

What I want to know is why you took an ambulance ride to the hospital for a broken leg.

i was thinking maybe a car accident i suppose. we're good at speeding and dying on the road over here.

gotta say i though the H word was appropriate too. what else do you call that many preventable deaths!?

Indeed the Holocaust is comparable to 44,000 PREVENTABLE deaths a year, I guess people don't see the similarity cause there isn't someone actually pulling a trigger or firing the furnace, in fact no one is doing anything, at all, hence the phrase "die quickly".
