When I find myself convinced of the Fail that is America, I usually find myself trying to get my brainwashing mechanisms working again.

So here in Iraq, toilet paper is an unknown thing to many people. You just gotta pour some water on your ass and wipe it with your hand. But we as Americans (TM) will not go to that level, so we have toilet paper. Toilet paper is vastly more superior then hand washing.

Anyways, we have interpreters, they vary in age, economic backround, religion, and english proficiency. All of which is irrelevant. They're trying to get to the states, but I see some of those motherfuckers go into the latrines with waterbottles to do their stupid arab asswashing routine. You stupid fucks we will take your visa away if you do that shit in america. It's fucking nasty. You'd think they would learn once living with americans to use toilet paper. Some do. The younger interpreters generally catch up pretty quickly on our social customs and pop culture.

I really do not understand the concept of wiping your feces laden asshole with your hands. It's gross. Iraq, while war torn, isn't as backwards as a lot of places.

Instructions on the arab asswashing routine.

1. Take shit
2. Dump one liter of water on your asshole/cheeks whilst scrubbing with your LEFT hand.
3. Pull up pants and go.

These are the reasons why I am afraid to visit other countries. I am down to try some new food and meet new people and see new places. But foreign bathrooms just sound like horror stories...

I could never carefully aim my shit into a hole in the ground where hundreds of people have had explosive ass before me. I'd rather run into the woods. A portopotty is like 50 times more advanced and private then that, and still awful.

And I hear a lot of public restrooms cost money to use, which is just even more backwards.

Not saying its pleasant, but it shouldn't hinder you from traveling. All you gotta do is carry some tp/napkins/tissues and a bottle of purell and you're good to go.

Someone who rather has dried shit dreadlocks hanging between his ass cheeks and brown stained undies instead of a clean bottom is dirty gross and backward IMHO.

And from reading the OP it sounded like someone just poured a bottle of water on their ass. Which can not be clean at all.

But seriously that is my only fear of traveling and other cultures is bathroom cleanliness. Lot's of disease is passed that way.

Do you use a blower to dry yourself off after a shower or just a towel?

You wash your ass with soap and water, then use a towel, then wash your hands again, too easy.

Just asking man. If you're in a restaurant, and you take a dump, is there a towel rack handy for after the asswash?

Their food is more natural though, at least the ones who have access to it. They also aren't popping pills for every ailment, and getting flu shots. We have more toxins in our bodies than they do.

I doubt it, I never visited any of the arab or mid-eastern countries and their restaurants to know what they have in they restrooms, it's not like there's no toilet paper, that's flat out bullshit.
I use toilet paper all the time, even at home before I wash my ass.

If I'm taking a dump in a public toilet (which I rarely do), I'll only use toilet paper and wait till I get home to wash my ass and change my undies, or most of the time take a full shower. Otherwise I'd feel dirty and uncomfortable and sometimes on hot days even get a sweat rash between my legs.

It's the worst distinctable habit one could pick to denigrade the east against the west, there's a gazillion others I could agree with, but not with this one.

I have no idea what this thread still does in this forum but cleaning your ass after a defacation with soap and water is much more hygienic then wiping it off with a piece of thin let-through paper.
