There are only two parties in America,
The Neo-Conservokrats or the
Individual Free Thinking Americans,
We get it Kurry, your still just a boring partisan tick.

NIXON & KISSINGER: Betrayal in Vietnam

Harvey Wasserman on October Surprise and Drug Running
Killing Our Own: The Disaster of Americas Experience with Atomic Radiation, Wasserman relates stories about people and animals living near nuclear weapons facilities, mining and waste storage sites, uranium processing plants, and nuclear power reactors. For example, farmers in central Pennsylvania whom he spoke to reported abnormalities in their animals in the wake of the Three Mile Island accident in 1979. Farmers living near the Rocky Flats plutonium factory in Colorado, and near the West Valley Reprocessing Plant in upstate New York, have also complained of defects and illnesses among their animals.

Dem wins seat in heavily GOP N.Y. area - More politics- msnbc.com

woops?

IMHO, this was the only race that mattered in terms of actual national meaning. The super-conservative movement COST the GOP this seat. The governor's races are far more local...NJ especially with Corzine being a douche (and I live in the tri-state area so I know).

Good night for the GOP...but not a good night for the teabaggers. I'm GLAD the GOP won what they did. hopefully it'll galvanize the fiscal conservatives enough to kick the nutjobs out of the driver's seat, and help get rid of dumbass democrats to make way for more interesting ones.

Shame on Maine tho. Gay rights movement is juuust about done with this mormon/rc funded bigotry. Boggles the mind.

The GOP (and j) celebrating this feels like someone having a party because they came in 8th out of 10th..."hey, at least we're not last!"

by "ignoring the people," surely you mean private and gop operations designed to artificially fabricate grassroots support for their anti-progressive motives? it's either that or all the whining. "the people" can stuff it because special interests are behind all of this, the reversal of gay rights in maine most contemptibly. seriously, fuck those atavist twits

Like GOPervert's Grasshole? Turds in Wonderland

Here's your commie GOPerverts Querryboy... Maggots

Grassley Censorship Amendment - Take Action Now!

Senator Charles Grassley of Iowa is trying to insert a censorship provision into Jim Webb’s National Criminal Justice Commission Act of 2009.

This is an important commission with a goal to look at every aspect of our criminal justice system with an eye to reform.

Here is the Grassley Amendment:

RESTRICTIONS ON AUTHORITY.
The Commission shall have no authority to make findings related to current Federal, State, and local criminal justice policies and practices or reform recommendations that involve, support, or otherwise discuss the decriminalization of any offense under the Controlled Substances Act or the legalization of any controlled substance listed under the Controlled Substances Act.

Despicable.

UnAmerican.

Take Action Now. The Senate Judiciary Committee could vote on this as soon as Thursday.

Update:

* There was a problem with the Take Action Now link and apparently it was only processing entries that had email addresses already registered with LEAP. They’re working on getting it corrected.

You can also contact your senators directly here. And here is a list of the senators on the Judiciary Committee.

* Of course, one thing that’s interesting about this amendment is that Grassley is essentially conceding that the facts would support decrim or legalization as being best for the country. He doesn’t want it for his own reasons and therefore, the only way he can attempt to stop it is to prevent considering it.

So after all this time deliberately trying to stay as far away from yet another bullshit wedge issue I read a looong article in my paper about health care and it did a great job explaining the "public option".

I still remain quite confused as to why this is the part of the debate the righties harp on, its a public OPTION ie you CAN have your own private health care or CHOOSE to go through the gov't

So again, wtf is the problem here? The cons are against states deciding and they're against the right to choose between private or public. I thought this was the party of personal freedom, so why are so many against the right to choose?

Probably because, as alway, the right is as hollow and directionless as their empty rhetoric. "Personal freedom" is nothing but a buzzphrase to corral the stupid and frightened. They still oppose the right to abortion, they still refuse the right to marry, and they refuse the right to inclusive healthcare.

For such a supposedly libertarian group these people sure seem to favor whittling our freedom rather than preserving it.

terry the main argument is that the public option will overshadow private enterprise and run insurers into the ground. when asked how a vibrant private university system is maintained in our country alongside public universities that should have driven them out of competition long ago, opponents remain silent because they will never admit how stupid and wrong they are nor how they say shit just to sound sensational. oh and COMMUNISM!!1!!!

Well that's a pretty stupid argument, I can't believe Glenn Beck has gotten so much mileage out of it
