buying alcohol in PA

I was in pennsylvania a couple months back and discovered you cant just go to 7-11 and buy a twelve pack! WTF!?! And they dont sell beer on sundays but at bars? What is up with these puritan alcohol rules? And you can only take what you can carry out? And in 6pack incements? Geez your whole beer system is nazified. What do you do if you need a case of beer on a sunday? Here you just go to the jiffy a block down and get whatever you want...and liquor stores are on every corner...only gay side here is we dont have 40s, just quarts. But really, quarts get warm near the end, so i cant see enjoying the last quarter of a 40. Discuss. haha

I live right next door to PA. in Jersey. We can get are beer and hard stuff in one place. We always wonder about that dumbass PA. rule.

FUCK YOU ALL, in alaska you cant even buy beer in a grocery store or gas station. ONly at the liqour store which closes at 1 am.

Pa has no beer or wine in a grocery store or gas station. You can't get beer in a liqour store, you have to go to a beer distributor that only sells beer in cases. Unless it's Sunday when you have to find a bar or restaurant to buy an overpriced sixpack.

So the black market in alcohol sales has blossomed on Sundays, but you gotta know where to look...

i live in cali, and i can just go to any store and buy whatever i please, but UTAH has rules like PA due to all the mormons and that kinda pissed me off when i visited there.

hah, i live in the uk, we only have to be 18 to get alcahol and shops are open all week till like midnight, don't you guys have to be 18 to get cigs as well? must be harsh.

The Mormons started in Pa so maybe that has something to do with it. The government spends money on ads warning people that they send undercover children to buy cigarettes and collect fines. You even need an ID to buy a lighter around here.
There laws are changing and some liquor stores are open on Sunday. It's all about the money.

Kind of a nice change coming from Alaska where beer is only sold in liquor stores to Montana where I can walk into a gas station, underage, and buy as much beer as i want. hehe

its crazy because the law says that you can not buy alcohol and gas at the same location

a sheetz store (a 24-hour convenience store, like wa-wa, turkey hill, etc.) near me sells alcohol now, they put a huge speed bump around the store seperating the gas pumps from the store making it two seperate locations allowing them to sell alcohol in the store...
