July 2002 was when I first got addicted to Yahooka...
Regarding my 2002 post in this thread: Well, I got my Masters degree in 2003, but still haven't moved to Vancouver yet! But I did visit in 2005, and I believe it truly must be the most awesome city on the continent of North America. I'd say of the cities in the world I have visited (still haven't visited some of the European gems like Paris or Prague) London and Vancouver are my two favorites. Vancouver is so perfect in that it's on the west coast, in Canada, it's got ocean, mountains, etc. plus it's an awesome, ultra-progressive city with excellent public train transport, and surprisingly clean air... all that plus the liberated cannabis scene!

Well it is a true statement after all. Eating juicy fruit with a buzz is divine.

I wonder if this still holds true today or if some other city has taken the crown

if it's not still considered the best pot smoking city, then it's still a city that accommodates to pot smokers very well then

20 minutes after arrival at YVR
I was born in Vancouver and lived there on and off for many years, now I live in Brazil but travel home every summer. This past June I arrived at the airport (YVR), cleared customs with no line-up, grabbed luggage off the carousel without waiting more than 5 minutes (that's unusual), walked over to the on-site car rental to pick up a reserved Mustang convertible, drove to Commercial Drive, parked, walked 50 meters and scored $20 (only had USD, and guy accepted it) Green Crack. Rolled a reefer in my car, put the top down since it was sunny, fired up the reefer and hit the highway to catch a ferry in Horseshoe Bay. I was smoking fine herb within 20 minutes of grabbing that hot little 5.0 Mustang, big smile on my face

They used drug "laws" to get rid of the illegal search and seizure laws. That's when they steal your property and make you prove that you didn't buy it w/drug money, etc.
Income tax is illegal, gun restrictions, prostit ution, gambling, etc are all individual choices.
The government now is essentially a mafia, that supplies the drugs and makes it illegal at the same time.

Can't believe Canada government allows an open city. I'll need some more evidence, like arrest logs pertaining to selling and growing AND (which no one mentioned) pot cafes like Amsterdamn.
