Best up and coming, cheap, weed friendly cities?

Who lives in or knows a really good fairly large sized city with a relatively good economy and all that? Im not talking about l.a. or miami, but someplace maybe like portland or something like that. my friend and I are going to be moving ina few months and we still cant decide on a good spot, any suggestions?

thanks you guys actually not bad i never relly cnsidered texas but why not? and canada makes it very hard for non canadians to move there, so i doubt it. but i would definately LOVE to live in the t-dot
