You need a reason to be here for a while. School, Job, Marriage, Child born in Canada. You can waltz in here and stay for 6 months, or live below the radar and work, then get kicked out of a country for life if they catch you. Go to an immigration web site and read up. You need alot of money in a bank account as a student, $13k or something like that, plus the money for your permits. The States are easy going to come from. Mainland Chinese have a much longer wait, unless there is a family tie.

While I was born in Vancouver, grew-up in the Okanagan, now I live in Brazil but go back to the city a couple of times each year. Always love getting back to Couve.

Btw: My friend used to own the head-shop called "Grass Roots" on Commercial Drive, what a great place to hang-out....
