Coffeeshopowner blogging...
Hi,
It's been a while since I have been here, this place took me to all other sites about marihuana the first years I spent online, good memories.
I just wanted to announce my blog, It's about coffeeshopping in Haarlem, Holland and about our cannabis friendly mini-resort in Spain, which will be opening soon.
I will try to explain how a Dutch hash-coffeeshop works in practice, with as many ins and outs I can legally reveal.
I hope I do not offence anyone by using the boards for this announcement, but I thought it would be all right, I must be the only coffeeshop entrepreneur blogging, it may be a novelty...
The website of the Good Life Farm will be up soon, here's a pic...
Many happy tokes,

hey Nol, welcome back
got some Q's for you if u dont mind me asking:
how easy is it to start a coffee shop business in amsterdam? Do they still give licences? Is it still a profitable business?
Once u start it, do u have to buy your weed from a local mafia or can u grow your own (unofficially)?
Spain: Supposedly u have a small motel business in spain. Can u advertise it as a cannabis-friendly establishment or would that get u in trouble with the local authorities? How "relaxed" is the local gvmnt about cannabis?

Q&a
It is only possible to buy a coffeeshop with a license in Amsterdam, if the city allows the sale. It is still profitable to run a coffeeshop, it will always be.
Local maffia is an invention of our government, the only local gangs are the traffic wardens. Buying weed is as easy or difficult as it comes, find good growers or set up good growers, I suppose.
I can advertise as cannabis friendly, Spain IS cannabis friendly.
I wish people would open coffeeshop like places outside the Netherlands for a change....or like Californian med clubs.

Glad to see more productive old schoolers coming back than the vast array of know-it-all whiny teens.
Looking forward to your experiences.

no spam...
I did not know this was considered spam, I thought coming up with something new would be appreciated amongst growers and smokers.
My blog shows my present cannabis experiences in Spain as well as in Holland, it is meant as information. I am glad you guys do think it is acceptable.
The place is ok, Sage Tree, since I am trying to unite the regions Spain and the Netherlands. Next week I am off to the annual general members meeting of the BCD, the Cannabis Retailers Union. I will report on this event on my blog. It will be a very important meeting, due to the fact that local authorities close and want to close coffeeshops, Amsterdam taking the front.
I will also make an article about the price setiing in Dutch coffeeshops, how and why they are on the level they are.
We finally have a cannabis consumer federation in the Netherlands, their first petition is out, they ask our Health-Minister to lift the smoking ban in cofeeshops, because it is ruining the social function of their favorite hangouts.
Questions about coffeeshop policy? Ask them, but try to come up with something substancial.

I was in Rotterdam last year, the people running the coffeeshops were complaining most bitterly about the smoking ban being a buzzkill more than anything else. People wern`t hanging out in the shops anymore and of course the shop loses out on selling coffee and munchies.
Of course in some of the shops people were smoking openly anyway but how long they`ll keep their licence...

Cannabinol, any info on the coffeeshop subject ("how to") is welcome
we need a common-European law on cannabis to begin with. Only that will spread the cannabis industry on a pan-european level

smoking habits change...
The smoking ban is a buzz killer indeed, some coffeeshops have blocked out smoking completely, beside pure weed joints, because of lack of space.
More people pick up their cannabis and leave, to smoke it elsewhere, mainly at home or the house of a friend. This pulls down social life and behaviour in coffeeshops, sharing a cone turned to smoking alone.
The coffeeshops were asked to fill in a question form about the influence of the smoking ban on life and business in our outlets, the info is meant for Health Minister Klink. He will use this info to have a rethink on the smoking ban for coffeeshops. Good thing the Cannabis Consumers Union sent in their petition to Klink as well. Let's hope there is still hope.
Meanwhile we just still smoke as usual in Haarlem, we joined up with 15 coffeeshops out of 16, and wrote a letter to our Mayor, stating we do not comply with the smoking ban, City Hall confirmed the reception of our stance in writing. So far, no news from him or City Hall. No checks on tobacco smoking in our shops so far.

Coffee shops need to stay coffee shops. Holland doesnt need stricter laws.
i dont mind the tobaco ban cause i m not a smoker. But weed smoking is something you expect to have in a coffee shop

are you getting any of the lebenese hash these days?
A good weed menu is easy, it's holland for fucks sake.
A good hash menu is altogether harder to achieve.

smokin weed.
We have a tobacco smoking ban in coffeeshops, not a weed smoking or vaporizing ban.
Dutch smokers roll their hash and or weed with tobacco, so they have to go smoke outside or at home.
