Are the first set of leaves suppose to droop downwards? If not... what causes this and how do I prevent it

do you mean the two tear drop leeves when you first plant it?if you are those fall off later anyway.and sumting you must remember that its a plant and it will cut off the water to any part of the plant they dont really need anymore cuz its still growing,so if your leeves are falling off,it may be lack of water.

no not the tear drop leaves but the first pot leaves they kind of droop down...
