weed plant lookalike?

Anyone know of any plants that look like marijuana so that I could use them as a decoy? I've heard of some deer feed plants but thats about all the info I have.

Thanks

I had a friend who had one in his yard. He said the gardeners always worked on it extra well. The leaves and the rest of the plant looked like a marijuana plant, except at the top, it would blossom pinkish-red buds. It's a little hard to describe, so maybe someone has seen it.

There is a wildflower (weed) alled cinquefoil that has a similar leaf structure, the plant as a whole doesn't look vety similar though.

I suggest maybe trying to plant near evergreen bushes. The only prob with that is that evergreen forest often has rocky soil so it's a bitch to dig.

False Aralias.

Dizygotheca (dizzy-goth-ick-uh), commonly known as False Aralia, is a graceful plant for bright locations in the house. Its most popular variety, aralia elegantissima, is well named because when healthy and full, they are indeed elegant to display. Some may consider its serrated leaflets to resemble the marijuana plant!

False Aralias are not plants for novices or those who enjoy easy-care varieties, but shouldn’t present too much of a challenge for those who are willing to pay a bit of attention to the plant’s needs. It can be picky about temperature, humidity, and watering, is attractive to spider mites, and tends to drop leaves if anything goes wrong. Usually the leaves that drop are the older, bottom ones; occasional leaf drop is quite common on most houseplants. Still, if too many leaves fall, the plant can get rather lanky and bare, so you’ll want to make sure to catch and fix any problems as soon as they crop up.

Temperature: Average. Don’t keep False Aralias in a room that drops below 60 degrees F. If the temperature is too warm, the plant may wilt. Also, try to maintain a constant temperature around the plant and avoid drafts.

Light: False Aralias like bright indirect light. They’re not plants to keep right in the window, but a bright room is essential.

Water: As with most foliage plants, water moderately Spring through Autumn and sparingly in the winter. Let the soil dry out slightly between waterings, which means that if it’s dry on top and moist about an inch down from the surface, it’s time to add water. Never let the soil dry out completely. If it’s too dry, it will drop leaves. If it’s too wet, the plant will wilt, then drop leaves later.

Humidity: Provide a fairly humid environment by using pebble trays and misting frequently. This is especially important during the winter.

Re-potting: Every two years or so, if needed, re-pot into a slightly different container. Spring is the best time to do this.

Propagation: It’s not easy to propagate False Aralias. Most are grown in nurseries from seed. If you want to try, though, take stem cuttings in the Spring and use a rooting hormone.

^ Evergreen forest soil tends to be highly acidic too.

Indeed, hops (Humulus lupulus L.) like Cannabis (Cannabis L.Sativa) is a dioecious (male and female plants) plant of the family Cannabaceae.

Hops and Cannabis are the only two plants in the family Cannabinaceae and there are a shit load of similarities between the two plants. Warmke and Davidson did a lot of study on the similarities between the two and in fact found that hop scions grafted onto Cannabis stocks produced cannabinoid resins.

Doesn't, in my opinion look vastly similar though.

The nettle family is also rather less closely related but in the same order, the Urticales, and I use nettle banks to hide short out door plants fairly often. Until flowering becomes prominant the two are difficult to tell apart from a distance.

Another plant (tree actually) with a similar leaf structure. I'm just putting it in for fun - not suggesting to use it as camo . They are beautiful trees, the leaves are definately reminiscent of our favorite plant.

The beautiful Japanese Maple

There are actually a few strains of maple that have elongated lobes, which do mimmick a Satva quite well. I have a maple like that in my garden, so I'm gonna make cuttings and use them as decoys.

Back when I was 12 or 13, the cops actually came inside my house over a small Japanese Maple my mom had in our kitchen window (facing the street). Evidently one of our neighbors had called, saying that we were growing pot. (In plain fucking sight of everyone in town? Uh... sure...) The cops could see the plant through the window, but they wanted to come inside anyway. My mom let them in, they walked 10 steps into the house, looked at the plant, and left.

That pissed me off for a long time. Stupid fucks.

^ That blows.

I can't understand how anyone, even someone who is not pro marijuana, could do that. I mean, even above and beyond my belief that I should be able to smoke and grow this herb is my belief for the sanctity of ones own home.

blendin in

The best decoy you can use in my opion is by using the plant itself, go to walmart and buy some fake flowers, and tie them all over the plant and from the distance it just looks like a flowering bush. True story, a few years ago, we had some nice 7 foot tall and 4 foot wide plants growing in our back yard, we tied fake flowers all over the plants, and one afternoon the cops chase a dude into our backyard and wrestled him down to the ground and stood there with him for like 15 minutes till more cops came, there was a total of 16 cops in our back yard less then 12 feet away from our flowering bushes! and they never once noticed the 6 huge northern lights. thankgod for walmart!!!!!

^very good idea. Never thought of that before! As long as they're not heavy enough to make it droop but fake's are most always light being that they're likely to be plastic.
