light cycle interruption

i have my plants on a 24/0 light cycle. if i have to turn them off, for saftey reasons, for 18 hours, what will that do to my plants? can i resume a 24/0 cycle?

would have to depend on your strain babes.

some take to light changes well some dont.......you have yours in the veg state, so i dont think it will mess anything up......but if you were on a 12/12 cycle you'd have to watch for any "nuts" that could pop.

i know someone who drove several blueberry clones from Tx to Co in a colman cooler with no hermie traits whatsoever.,,,,,,i think you "should" be fine though.

Just a thought, but can you run a normal "incandescent" light instead (not so obvious but you dont interupt the light cycle). When vegging, if the plant is more than six weeks old, any prolonged dark periods could trigger flowering, but one long dark period should be OK.

As Jah said the hermie problem shouldn't arise but keep in mind the more you interupt the "normal" cycles, the more stressed the plant will be and then the more chance it will turn 'hermie".
