Dandaweedman's Motarebel WillyWonder BX1 F2 grow journal.

You may want to sit back and roll one up, or fill that pipe up again.
I gots me a story to tell, bout a man named Jed.... oops not that one.

Nope, this is a tale about how I come by some seeds.

Funny how I got these babies, if you recall at Christmastime I was
sloughing through neck deep snow in -55 C weather to check the mail.
In the mail I recieved the replacement RomBolt that I am growing now.

Well, Mota sent me a Christmas present... these seeds. ;D
No explanation, nothing. Mota is a man of few words but good genetics.

So when all my online buddies have talked about seeds these haven't even been mentioned.

A gift is something to be treasured.
And planted...and maybe pollenated with a brother of nice stature.
Ohhhh the incestual feelings...
and maybe then and only then a weee tad of trading heh heh heh.
Providing the babies that ensue from the perverse struggle turn out to be decent.

So, we have the proverbial 10 seeds o love n lust.

You know the drill.
10 in the J-cloth and on the fridge
and where do the other 10 go?
MILK CUPS!
geeze, I need more Indica in my diet.

Anyhow, I shall be doing that in a few hours, with pics of course.

WillyWonder Is WilliamsWonderP1(par ent) x WilliamsWonderP1(par ent)
creating a filial group one or F1. Then you cross the F1 back to a parent creating a filial group 2 or F2 with a back cross.

WillyWonder (WilliamsWonder x WilliamsWonder) BX1 (back crossed once to one of the original parents)F2 (the resultant grand babies)

Correct me if I am wrong PLEASE!

Anyhow, for a reference an F1 of an original = rare
and BX1 F2 you might ask? Should be nice genetics as Nirvana genetics are an F4 I believe, at best an F3.

This whole explanation is quite simplified, but I am hoping you get a basic idea of how much goes into stabilising even one of the better strains.
For a small breeder to go through this much trouble is intriguing to say the least.

Anyhow for a lesson in genetics, call friggin ghost busters, I am tired o typing.

In the morn, we shall have seed porn!

Daniel

Actually I am going to be adding a second veg chamber tomorrow, I need to look at my babies more and where they are is a PITA.

So I shall be germing these either tomorrow or the next day for shorzie.

Sorry for the delay. I could do it now, but I am worried that I may run into problems.

Well a quick update

A quick check of the WillyWonder earlier this evening has one of them poking a beautiful little set of rounded little leaves above the soil.
Sweet, these little ones should be interesting if they all follow this pattern.

Pictures in the am.

Daniel

Nope, I was stoned, see the POK Kush x Citral thread for updates on that little one.

J-cloth

100% germination with verve!

Put them in late at night on the 31st of Jan. here it was early morning of the 3rd and look at these beauties!
They were transferred into the 16 oz MILK CUPS using a mixture of

45% Canadian Peat
30% Vermiculite
20% Perlite
5% Blood and Bone meal.

I had thought a soil seed had sprouted, but I was just tired and high.
They still aren't showing, but experience with this breeders seeds tells me they will start showing today.

Attached are a few pictures for your viewing pleasure.

And on a side note, yes Paht the veg chamber is finally full.

Daniel... waiting for his order heh heh heh

And there we have it

Another ten popping thier little heads up, taking a look around and crying DADDY!!!

Oh yes, all 10 of the little Wonders are showing themselves. Yesterday there were 9 and this am there were 10.

Ain't life grand?

I have come to expect things to go smoothly from this breeders seeds.
I expect these to be along the same lines.

Pictures sometimes today.

The pictures

These came up in exactly the time frame I have come to expect from Motarebel's genetics.
They are doing well with good strong stems and nice leafsets.

Here is a picture of the ten together.

The soil 5

In all of the germ tests except the first Romulan x Yumbolt fiasco, the soil side has always started better.

The J-cloth side catches up, but needs a little special care to keep them up with the soil germed seedlings.

A little more careful use of nutes (adding a little extra fish emulsion) and moving the lights around a bit more.

But once they catch up the growth stays nice and even.

This picture shows the soil side of things.

The J-cloth side

While still decent, this is a little closer and you can see the differences better.

Next individual pics

So the J-cloth ones you see the roots first, but in the soil side the roots reach the bottom of the cup faster.

We start with #1 soil side and #1 J-cloth side.
