Co2
I want to grow some herb in my basement, but my problem is getting co2 to the plants. I only want to grow about 2 plants at a time, in a room thats about 15ft x 25ft. The room is also connect to outside by a door. Any ways to get enough co2 to the plants without installing a ventilation system?

wow captain of the obvious, thanks for telling me something i didnt know. However the fact is that alot of websites say at the flowering stages cannibus needs ALOT of CO2. Now in a room that is shut off from the outdoors and the rest of the house, it might be difficult for the plants to get Co2 once it has run out.

if its right next to a door in the basement why are you worried about ventilation?? a couple fans is all you need. the plants will get enough co2 from air circulating around your house.
oh yeah and you don't just run out of co2 in the atmosphere (yet), it's always there, just like the oxygen you are breathing now. |

You don't need to be worried about any Co2 pumps and what have you, although if its completly shut off from all outside air that may be a problem, you just need the air to be exchanged in the room ever so often, also a fan to fatten the stems up helps alot too.

take a pot of water and heat it up, dissolve the sugar in the water and let it cool (the reason I say heat it up is because the sugar is more soluable in hot water) then just add a tablespoon of yeast. Within about 5-10 minutes you will notice the solutions bubbling off CO2.

A vinegar bottle with a slow drip into a 50 pound bag of sodium bicarb. It will produce co2 for weeks.Yeast water in a bunch of big open milk bottles works too.
