heading to the doctor tomorrow for HELP!!!
I plan on going to see my doctor tomorrow to find out what I can get or do to get some help kicking my heroin/oxycontin addiction. I am wondering what I should say to my doctor about my situation. I started doing a lot of oxycontin but it got really expensive so I began using heroin for the past 3 months (about a balloon or 2 a day habit). I am really getting tired of having little money and honestly doing the drug. Its getting really dirty to me. My first question is what I should tell my doctor. Should I tell my doctor that I am addicted to heroin or oxycontin or both? Second what should I tell him so he perscribes me something that works for kicking opiod addiction. I know there are such things as suboxone and methadone that work, but of course I am not going to come out and ask for something specific. I just need to know what I need to say to my doctor when I go in tomorrow!!!! Any help will be greatly appreciated. THANKS!!!!!!

How about the truth, hes not going to care what kind of person you were now that you honestly want help and if he does, find another doctor.

I'm going to tell him the truth... i'm just wondering if there is anything that i can say that might lean him towards something that might work other than rehab... i can't take time off work

How about 'I really can't take the time off work for rehab, any options?'
