"That experience included such things as a sense of pure awareness and a merging with ultimate reality, a transcendence of time and space, a feeling of sacredness or awe, and deeply felt positive mood like joy, peace and love. People say "they can't possibly put it into words," Griffiths said."

We can see now why Mushrooms are considered so illegal, its obvious they are PURE EVIL! We must ensure this volatile and decrepid substance never works its way into mainstream Society!

Hah, imagine, if everyone did this, angst-ridden music like Linkin Park would have never existed. And what a glorious world it would be.

Sheesh yeah its about time. Although its just a fucking CNN article. I will be happy when teh laws change and i can buy a dazzling array of entheogenic wonders in my supermarket.

That experience included such things as a sense of pure awareness and a merging with ultimate reality, a transcendence of time and space, a feeling of sacredness or awe, and deeply felt positive mood like joy, peace and love. People say "they can't possibly put it into words," Griffiths said.
Two months later, 24 of the participants filled out a questionnaire. Two-thirds called their reaction to psilocybin one of the five top most meaningful experiences of their lives. On another measure, one-third called it the most spiritually significant experience of their lives, with another 40 percent ranking it in the top five....

BUT do not do this at home because you might get scared. Good advice.....NOT!

Lmao thats retardedly funny. Wish theyd put it on TV rather than talking about all negative crap that they do all day. Strange I just had a dream last night that I took some mushrooms with a group of friends that dont exsist and I crapped in their toliet and the damn thing overflooded, strange dream, it was like i was really tripping in my dream and Ive only had mushies like twice and a looooong time ago. Like a flashback in my sleep hehe. I went to get a mop to clean the mess up and someone was like turn the light on and I couldnt even find it. Started stumbling around than slipped on the wet kitchen floor not far from the flooded bathroom lol. Yea then I woke up, strange eh. Ah fresh picked bright blue stained dream mushrooms. lol enough for everybody since they dont exsist in the first place.

"Viewed by some as a landmark, the study is one of the few rigorous looks in the past 40 years at a hallucinogen's effects. The researchers suggest the drug someday may help drug addicts kick their habit or aid terminally ill patients struggling with anxiety and depression"

This part scares me, I wouldnt touch that part with a ten foot pole. It's up the the person living the experiences to deal with that stuff on their own.

Would some mature, experienced psilocybin user please help me reconcile these two statements. By the way, I have no experience whatsoever with mushrooms

"Even two months after taking the drug, pronounced SILL-oh-SY-bin, most of the volunteers said the experience had changed them in beneficial ways, such as making them more compassionate, loving, optimistic and patient. Family members and friends said they noticed a difference, too."

AND

"But don't try this at home, he warned. 'Absolutely don't.'"

"Honey, can we afford the brand name cubies, or should we get generic again?"

I would love to open a coffee house that sold herbs for "Health, Spirit and Mind" and served herbal teas and such, had books on various relevent topics, and such. Sort of an Upstart Crow for the transcendental crowd. That would have a place in the world, as it should be, I think.

I'm sure that was put in so the article wouldn't seem to promote use of mushrooms in general, sorta like a precaution.

Regardless, awesome article, and I hope it rains soon.

^ Yeah, I agree, if they didn't have that, tons of idiots would dive into the experience assuming its instant enlightenment.

Another police trainer said Chuck Norris was a role model for the police in Falluja, which until 2007 was an al Qaeda stronghold and the scene of fierce battles with security forces.

"I've seen his videos, he's a hero. He saves the city, he protects women and children and he fights crime wherever it is. We should all be like Chuck Norris,"
