What this analogy doesnt take into acount is that there may be colours outside of that spectrum, and there may be more than one beam of light.

still fat though

lol
The theory goes that nothing is certain, and we cant prove ANYTHING as a certainty. 100% doesnt exist, because when we get all of something, its impossible to prove that we have it all, because the universe is infinite, and so there is no way of telling that there isnt more, SOMEWHERE.

The main brunt of the theory of uncertainty is that a fair test is impossible, because any instrument you use to test a situation, is affected BY THAT SITUATION, think about that, its like, look at the table in front of you...
OK?

now prove that its there.

you prolly touched it, ok, how do you know you did?
you felt it
how do you know you felt it?

thats a shit example, but the basics are there.

Spooky huh?

if anyone knows about this, and im wrong, please tell me.

Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" is your analogy for all things? Cool.

My analogy for everything: All is metaphor.

Mayby.. maybe not. But in this analogy it is assumed that there isnt. Its about the One and Many.. not about the two or more and the many and the possibility of others.

I look at this thread like a jar of rotten mayonaisse. You know it's rotten, but you really need something to put on that sandwich.

With religion/other things where they claim to be the only right way i can see this being true. Hes talking about analogys tho. im not sure where i heard it but "if you think you know the answer, then you dont understand the question to begin with"

that said i loved the picture M. and agree with alot of it, good job

....my earlier statement was a little off i said there was about a 90% chance that i didnt like you when really that means that i like 10 out of 100 people and since i only like about 10 people total well lets use a little math here 10/6 billion that means that theres a 99.99999983333333% chance that i dont like YOU.

We have an accepted model to describe the atom yet we have not seen it.

But as for analogies... love em!

Crystals transfer information over long periods of time... hypothetically forever.

There is a crystal quality about words upon the page, the hawks that circle above, the fish in the sea, and even the sea itself. The voice of God and angels can be heard through this crystal scape lala~~~~

Now back to my Modern World Civilization final

A big garden. And the garden is being tended by a bunch of people. Some of them believe in life after death, some don't. Some believe in one kind of life after death, others believe in another kind. And there are bugs in the garden, some liked by the gardeners, some they consider pests. There are flowers, too, and vegetables. And animals that eat the flowers, vegetables, or each other. And the garden is in the center of a town that borders a big city with stores and streets, and the city is in a country on a continent of a planet circling a huge star in a galaxy. And the galaxy is one of billions in a huge thing the gardeners call "the universe".

Sorry. Started out with a garden metaphor and just went with it.

^Interesting.

I have another one to add..

The world is like a giant piece of paper.. and everyone in it has a bunch of crayons. We are all painting this giant picture of reality together.. some people drawing ugly things.. some people drawing beautiful things. The overall picture may be considered by some to be a work of art.. to others it should be scrapped or put in the bin.. or someone needs to buy an eraser.. but crayon is not that easy to erase.
