Haha, he's actually nuts because he actually cared whether or not some guy on some random forum would respect him or not haha. Yeah I needed to get my morphine perscription refilled yesterday pretty bad kinda wiggin all over the place, but now I'm cool.
Regardless I think everything that needed to be said about vegetarianism is said and done. |

![]() You were the one saying that meat was harmful to the health and addictive... that was what I was responding to. Baby blood has nothing to do with whether or not meat is nutritious or not. lol.... learn to argue and then come back and I may spend some time but right now it's nonsense. Your choice to go veggie is great but it seems to be causing some sort of brain damage when it comes to making rational correlations and arguments. A bear would eat a fish or some other animal but they wouldn't eat another bear... it goes against nature. So, I think I would probably not eat another human being (as tempting as you make it sound ).

The basis of the disagreement on meat eating is simple. If you believe in JVB's karma, perhaps there's little you can do to justify eating living things. However, you can't throw it in someone's face that they're going to have bad karma if they don't believe in it in the first place. I believe the universe balances itself out. If I do something truly bad in this life, something bad may happen to me in return. However, I don't believe that I'm gonna be reincarnated as a slug for eating meat. I just don't.
Therfore, aside from the karmic aspect of it...eating meat (or not) is simply a personal choice. If you like it so much that you can't give it up, tough shit for karma. If you can live without it, why not? I've slowly been reducing my meat intake and I haven't had any problems so far. In fact, I'm happy with the physical aspect because I'm losing the thunder thighs lol. What I'm trying to say, in summary, is that you can't scare someone into being a vegan. They either choose to be or they don't but threatening bad karma only makes the argument seem ridiculous and probably reenforces one's choice to continue eating meat.

I do think global but the thing is, unless you're some kind of a saint who's a level one million vegan and drives a bicycle everywhere, only buys recycleable products, throws out one bag of garbage a year and goes around planting trees...there's really only so much you can do to help the environment in not eating meat.
I have a huge issue with the superiority complexes of many vegans I've met in my life. They always make you feel like you're wrong no matter how much you try. I do my best. I try my best to bring reuseable bags to the grocery store, I try my best to recycle, I try my best not to eat meat...and I don't think I (or anyone else who tries) should be made to feel like shit.

i dont feel im being judgmental, i can talk about issues and subjects, learn from some things, and think for myself. people get defensive because they are not geared to share info, grow, and learn. people are grumpy, grouchy creatures of habit that dont like to be asked to consider the feelings and well-being of others in their self-gratifying habits and patterns.

you really don't think you are being judgmental?
judg·men·tal adj. 1. Of, relating to, or dependent on judgment: a judgmental error. 2. Inclined to make judgments, especially moral or personal ones: a marriage counselor who tries not to be judgmental.

Haha!
So... I have known many people who hold the concept of karma close to their heart go on about things coming back to you.. but really... bad and good are SUBJECTIVE concepts.. so who is to say if you do one thing.. that something equal and opposite would come back at ya...? Or maybe I just don't understand what people are trying to express..? For example.. if I killed a cow and shared it with some starving children.. would I be screwed over later for it? So, JVB.. tell em more about your own views of karma if you would like... M |
