i looked at the website for openhand.org which is what that video is connected to. chris borne is it's leader it looks like, and is the man seen in the video. i then saw that there are courses and seminars and books and levels of enlightenment.
that's where my statement came from.

you can appreciate the message without idolizing the messenger.

I think that will be, oddly enough, the real moment of choice that will face all of us. Will we embrace an imperfect messenger, or will we reject him for not living up to some idealized sense of who/what the "messiah" should be. Messiah, by the way, is a judeo-christian word, but I'm using it in the most liberal usage possible....namely a man/movement/consciousness that breaks the current thread of existence.

no, don't get me wrong...the message about awareness and all is important. i didn't point that out.
i'm just saying, that it seems fishy to me that there are levels, sold upon the belief that you cannot get this spriritual enlightenment anywhere else. it's bogus cult-speak.
very very many cults have 'good aspects' to them, as far as charity work, and humanitarian efforts, philanthropy, etc...but they are still cults, and the main purpose behind them is for the leader to gain power and money.
that is dangerous when your message seems so pure and clear.

I heard that Enlightenment actually is one of the leading causes of ozone depletion in the upper atmosphere. That's why people have much more suntanned skin in India, for example.
