That show got me to believe in ghosts. Even though its just kids doing it, it seems like it might be legit.

why are you scared of what might not even exist? I would actually really really like to encounter a ghost so that i could personally confirm their existence for myself.. If I saw a ghost (or even experienced any paranormal phenomena for that matter), I would probably have more faith in spirituality if that makes sense.. but that's just me.

For all we know, the whole ghost phenomena, and some of the other paranormal claims could be explained by science (maybe not modern science, using our limited scientific methods).. I mean science is constantly evolving, with new discoveries being made all the time, new theories being invented (many totally changing the way reality is percieved),etc. Maybe science will someday discover whats behind it all.. Something like a "ghost" doesn't necessarily have to be dead people existing in an afterlife, or spirits, or demons.. Who knows, there could be some unexplained/yet to be discovered physical mystery behind it all. Like some image from a separate universe that exists in a higher dimension interlaced with our own.. Or an "imprint" left behind in history, lol i don't know

I mean look at the claims made in the field of quantum physics and all the insane theories and physical laws and stuff discovered in our lifetime alone. Or the scientific search for the "God particle".. imagine tryin to explain the laws of space and time, string theory, the parallel universe theories, or even just our current modern scientific understandings, to an ancient Egyptian! or even to a person just a couple hundred years back.. Not even that far back, time travel has always been just an idea created by science fiction, (I suppose still is) but according to modern physics, we now know that it is very possible.. Even though the energy needed, is that of a star.. There's gonna be a much better human understanding of how reality works in the future.. I hope..

But the crappy thing is that the majority of today's scientists refuse to investigate, or even look into "paranormal" or unexplainable occurrences like this. Due to the lack of physical evidence, accompanied with plain ignorance, the majority consider it "pseudoscience" and "nonscience". They refuse to even approach these things because of the lack of acceptance of the physical reality (seriously, we still don't fully understand even a fraction of this physical reality!). Of course scientists' jobs revolve around collecting and analyzing OBSERVABLE physical evidence of NATURAL phenomena for the most part.. so the majority of the scientific community will not even attempt to "observe" what is "unobservable", I guess? (even though there is a VERY large amount of paranormal reports, MANY of which have odd similarities to other related reports)

I mean sure, rational skepticism should be applied, but SCIENCE is our system of acquiring knowledge.. I mean, all that is "unknown", including the paranormal should be looked into more, so that it might just one day become "known".. I just think more investigations into these "paranormal" reports should be made, regardless of the shared "reality defying" (only our current understanding of REALITY, using our limited scientific methods of course, the fact we are only human) claims. Somewhat applying the scientific method.. There is a very small percentage of people that actually do research/analyze/collect data on this stuff, like parapsychologists. But not many people are going to want to fund this type of thing I would think, for many obvious reasons. Though very slight, there are actually some university-based research projects that exist, and private funded institutions, but again, very slight. Than you got a lot of frauds, just out to make a dollar. the "ghost hunters" (Some of them are just obviously a scam, imo) There was this live showing of these "ghost hunters" on discovery channel or something, and they were unaware that the live camera was taping. I think they were like rehearsing one of their "ghost scenes" and were also caught sticking an object in one of the hunters jacket hood, so it would appear he was being yanked by the hood by a ghost from behind..lol.

But hey, it could all very well be just a bunch of hoaxes, "trickery", misinterpretations of natural phenomena.. just illusions created in the mind.. Of course these explanations probably do account for some.. but for all? For some reason I REALLY really doubt that. There are countless amounts of people who have either experienced the paranormal first hand, or know people who have.. ha just noticed that I've typed out a freakin research paper.. sorry for the length

My Ghost I saw in 1995 in a house in San Jose, Costa Rica. Woke up with my girlfriend at the time as I saw a young boy in school uniform running across the dresser. Told the woman of the house and I got the description of this boy down perfectly.

She pulled a photo out of a draw and that was the boy. He was knocked over just outside the house playing 10 years ago. We got to the house late the night before, shown quickly to our room and left the next morning.

Not one picture of the boy was up in the house and I got the description down perfectly.

I will never forget that as long as I live. I personally think more hyper sensitive people see ghosts and not all people are programmed to.

Man I need a joint as I'm shaking thinking how clear it all was.

I have definitely come into contact with one. I didn't even believe it myself even after I experienced it until my brother and his friend in the same room confirmed it. The place burnt down a couple years ago, and it was on an indian reservation.

what really fucks with my mind is imagining those shadow people. a semi-invisible ghost scared me enough, imagine what a true shadow person would be like if they were real. some people say they are people from another world pushing on the membrane of our dimensional reality.

You guys watch this!?

(in his best boggart voice)....."sweethea rt I live it !"

a dead aura will be no match for a living spirit.

making noise or a faint flash of light...humpf.......

only through fear do demons find the strength, and a pathway into you, they must be welcomed into you during a time of personal crisis, personal weakness, at that point when you must make a decision of whether to turn away from everything you hold most dear in life for escape,
of call upon that all protective power that you know you do have within you...just one more time.

maintaining a positive self image makes one impermeable to this form of evil.

or not

man, ive heard some good ghost stories (even big balls's story on this thread is thought provoking and unexplainable) but ghosts just simply dont fit into my outlook on the world/universe. Besides, its like aliens, if you want to see one, you will. (for aliens, see Fermi's paradox)

Dontmiss420!

My best way to explain a ghost is when someone has had their life taken prematurely and while their body has been taken, their spirit is left behind. My little Costa Rican ghost was glowing with a green light around them. Usually it's a green ball of light if you don't see the ghost itself.

i think it's been said that people who do not want to believe will not see anything, ever.

those who do not actively disbelieve i guess are the ones who experience it. I heard that in a documentary about ghosties or something, I thought it was interesting.
