Lightbulb Humanity's Ancient Teachings of Enlightenment

This is knowledge that has come to be known to me through my own studies and experience, worth posting here and discussing, hopefully...interest ing.

Among the great esoteric teachings of the world are two paths. One can be called the Light Path. The other is the dark path, or the dark arts.

These two paths represent two extreme paths of life and destiny, but most people tread somewhere in between.

So there are two forms of so-called enlightenment...one attributed to the bright path and the other to the practice of the dark arts.

Practitioners of the dark arts are at the root of most of the extreme evil witnessed in our world today: great violence, wars, excessive greed and oppression. These derive from their state of consciousness en masse-akin to madness. Practices include various forms of sacrifice, vampirism-animal or human, dark witchcraft, and other things youll find among such secretive societies.

The path of light is a wholly different mode of consciousness. In fact it is much more rare and difficult to seek out. Meditation is one of the main practices, which helps to attune one to other practices from realization.

Meditation involves looking within. This is the abode of enlightenment. It does not reside anywhere else, such as books, gods, or even priests and gurus. It comes from within--ones own life, spirit, and connection to all. Once the simple method is learned, this action is independent, leading onward to the development of awareness and presence of being.

Meditation entails sitting comfortably and quieting body and mind. this is an unusually inactive state, detached from normal bodily and mental activity a new focus and alertness dawn. Sometimes focus on the gentle, natural flow of the breath is used to aid in quieting the mind. New states of consciousness and even psychic awareness awaken that we were not previously attuned to.

Among these states of consciousness is a subtle connection with other people and other living beings. It is sympathetic, compassionate... but more than that. It is a recognition of these others as a part of the extended, collective self of which all are a part. Collective consciousness.

The tendency to harm, kill, or hurt tends to disappear with the previous duality. That is, when one becomes thus connected, one naturally gains a distaste for harming any member of the great self. Gentleness and a sort of motherly/fatherly kindness develops in such beings. This is the basis of nonviolence and purification in the tradition known as the light path. One simply does not like to harm ones own self, generally. When perception of the self expands by an esoteric shift in consciousness, one tends to not want to harm the great self, whose presence is simply now recognized in all beings.

The tendency for vegetarianism comes from this deep caring kindness that makes all beings just like one's own self . We see our self in them and vice versa. This can not be fully understood through mere words. It is a state of consciousness. The tendency or even ability to take life disappears. This is no small point. One has entered into another state of consciousness than that of most other human beings, attested by a particularly different mode of behavior.

Now this different mode of perception and behavior is known to have particular karmic consequences. these are considered as purificatory or good karma. That is, ones life and destiny are affected in a subtle way by changing the nature of the reactions one experiences by changing the mode of action. Different reactions come from changing the nature/direction of the actions of one's existence. All this results from a shift in consciousness with permanent developmental aspects.

Other methods of affecting the consciousness, besides meditation, include ceremonies such as mushrooms-if used properly- but such results may be much more temporary and are best used with meditation.

Of course words cannot fully explain or contain the truths the knowledge points to. One cannot cling to mere words or verbal discussion. The truth which can be personally investigated comes from the practices and the experience results thereof.
