Official RedSox/Yankees Thread

so i don't watch any sports, don't regularly follow any teams. but the rivalry between the Sox and the Yankees and something that i do follow. i make sure to find out who wins each match up, and which team is doing better in the standings. i don't even regularly root for the Red Sox, or watch any of their other games. but somehow, each year, i get sucked into the fanatic rivalry. that or the Sox start out real strong, and everybody's all "Oh, they're going all the way this year" or w/e, and then everybody gets real disappointed when they lose. somehow, if there's an arguement going on about these teams, even if i don't know the people (it's on a forum, say), i'll instantly hop in on the sox's side and defend to the death.

so:
this thread is for any discussion about Red Sox/Yankees match-ups, standings, etc. anything rivalry related is welcome. both sides, this is your place to argue. i don't know how many 'hookans are New Englanders, but i'll be here, stickin' up for the Sox. that's how it goes.

ehh dice-k looked shakey yesterdau.. i still think he'll be alright and dominate the yanks next matchup.

but, Fuck the Yankees. (everyone except derek jeter, jorge, and bernie (i guess; and jeter's just a pimp))

Its this very aspect of sports that totally irritates the hell out of me. All these frauds and front runners who go around ever fall with their fresh new Yankees hat (noone wears a red sox hat cus they suck anymore), and act like total toolboxes.

Lets make this the Anti-Front Runner thread.

I hate the Yankees and the Red Sox with a passion.

Yeah, screw the Yanks and Sox......I'm so sick of hearing about them all the time. Now that Boston has it's WS win I have about as much sympathy for them as I do the Yanks, which is to say zero.

There's 28 other teams in baseball....lets talk about them for awhile. How about those Royals, or Brewers, or Reds or.......Nats.

but seriously, if you don't want to hear about the Red Sox/Yankees, then make a thread about your team. i happen to live an hr north of boston, so the Sox are my home team.

The Sox have always been, and always will be, my favorite team in the American League. Everyone where I live is either a Yankees or a Sox fan, it's pretty closely divided, and I've always sympathized with the underdog. But I can understand how people who aren't from New York or New England must be pretty annoyed with how the Yankees and the Sox are the two teams everyone always talks about.
