chuggin
I have a bit of a chug goin on in the ride.
Suggestions? I turn it on and instead of a smooth run its just a big chuggy. There may or may not be a bit extra exhaust, it may have always been that way but i just noticed it is a bit puffy-thick. |

is the idle low? like, below 1000rpm at rest? what do you mean by chuggy? a hole in the exhaust causing lowered 'muffling'?
does the exhaust smell normal? not like, burning oil or anything? all fluids good? no leaks?

Checking the O2 sensors might be a good place to start. How old is your car again?

Blue smoke = oil black smoke = fuel Check your oil, see if there is antifreeze in there. You may of fucked your headgasket up and then had a leak into your cylinder. edit - I forgot how many miles you have on the car, but headgaskets often fuck up at around 60k-100k. My friend somehow got a leak in his radiator, overheated, fucked up the headgasket, which caused internal damage to his 600hp Cobra, what a sad day that was lol. edit 2- and theres no way its going to be 1k, I forget what year yours is but in 94 they switched to a 3.1, You would be able to find a 3.1l or 3.3l or any of the "iron duke" inline 4's to swap in for 500$.

I have a 95.. .not sure what liter
I brought it to the guy I bought it from today. It made it all the way there so that's a good sign, lets hope for the best!!! When i added coolant to the resevoir thing there, there was a LOT of garbage floating up an in there. Made me wonder if thats not the main problem itself. Pretty gross. |
