Yeah yeah yeah.. Since its the offiial Opening Day I figured I'd start this thread up hoping to discover some people who have been anxiously waiting for the first pitch of the 2008 season.

I'ma Mets fan... Just wondering if there's many fans here and what team you support. How do ya feel bout the steroid scandal? Where do you think your team will place in the final standings?

Honestly... I think the Metro's might end up in front. At least for the first half. But until I see the outcome of today's game I'll be quiet. Hahaha...

I watched the Opening Game between the Nats and Braves. The new ballpark looks great; even though I rather liked RFK I can't wait to see my first game at Nationals Park. I'm going there next Monday night with a bunch of friends. The Nats also look like they can finally hit a few too, but our pitching is still weak.

And I haven't been to Camden Yards in over 10 years. I think my anger at Peter Angelos has subsided enough that I'll try to catch a game up there this summer. Maybe some night when the place isn't overrun by Yankees or Red Sox fans......

Mets are gonna be tough, Phillies will be their usual solid selves, and the Braves look back to form after an off year. Sigh....the Nats are still a year or two away before they can contend in the NL East. Oh well, the food will be better and Manny Acta always makes sure the team plays hard and right.

I don't know why everyone thinks the Braves will be better. They lost Andruw Jones and Edger Renteria. The Mets and Phils will both be ahead of the Braves when it's over with the Mets taking it. The Cubs will take the Central and the Rockies will take the West. I won't pick a wild card winner because I don't acknowledge its legitamcy.

In the American league it will be the Yankees, Indians and Seattle winning their divisions.

Just as the Cubs are about to win the world series over the Yankees, Russia will nuke us.

It's so nice to see baseball back. As a lifelong Red Sox fan, the mets broke my heart in 86. I don't really miss Pedro much but I wished we had Johan as our #2 this year

man the dodgers are goin all the way this year i am a lifelong player and fan of the sport...i am in college now and oyu have no idea how great it is to come back from a class and just study/do work with a baseball game on..plus i love getting baked to either baseball tonight or a baseball game..and with the dodgers being my favorite team and me on the east coast and them on the west coast, i can get baked at night and watch their games usually until like 1 am

^ Opening Week is so much fun; teams go on a run and it seems like anything can happen. The race between the Brewers and the Cubs looks to be as good as last year, but will it be? I remind myself that records before June 1st are basically worthless.

Anybody watching the All Star game? I just tuned in, but at a good time: tied 3-3 going into the bottom of the 12th. Got to see my Nats' Christian Guzman make a nice save.

Edit: Wow, Guillen looked like he was about to hit a homer there!

Edit #2: Now in bottom of 13th. Uggla's having a tough time at 2nd base. Just made his third error. The AL hitters seem to realize this and are hitting towards him.

big match up this week..brewers vs. cubs: love millwakee this year, the phils have to win the division to getinto the post season..AND if St. Louis doesnt trade fpr a closer they're finished
