ran a bet with a pal at school. i bet detroit against spurs in the championships. the pistons made it to the finals last year, but were laid low by the cavs. now they have a stronger bench. i just think the celts will choke, and the series with the hawks solidifies that point.
but yeah, i think the spurs are most likely going to take it all. tony parker is still a fucking beast. |

I'm not much of a basketball fan but I thought I must say the magic are making a pretty big mess of things for everyone else. I have a feeling the magic are going to push it all the way this time. They can't be stopped with the NBA's most improved player as well as a machine who has been 20/20 for the past three straight games. So best of luck to your hawks and nothing is going to walk the spurs to a championship game. All magic this season!

hawks took game 6! how fucking epic is that. its gonna top the warriors series win last year if they win.
come on, a 37-45 team beating a 66-16 team? THAT will be the biggest upset in the nba ever. 2 seasons in a row. what a great period in nba history. |

ahahah @ Boston.
Going to game 7 with the Hawks. Even if the Celtics win by 50 points today, they still have proved how overrated they are. I thought it was funny how after Mike Bibby's comments (Boston fans are bandwagon fans, 3/4's of them weren't here last season) all the ESPN talking heads and countless Boston homer's defended each other. When it was a 100% fact. Oh, and their entire fan-base (which includes ESPN) had them locks for the finals and favorites for a ring. Pats all over again? Will their fans ever learn?

Oh, and don't even get me started on KG not being suspended.
Freaking pushes a ref and nothing happens. Oh and everyone remembers from last year; spurs vs suns - nash gets floored and a couple suns players leave the bench and get suspended. Sam Cassel of the Celetics does it this year and nothing. If this isn't some obvious bias, I don't know what is.

seriously.
I don't know why, but it seems like he's being a complete ass so far this playoffs. Maybe it was the move to Boston, I dunno. Pushing that dude from the hawks, then pushing the ref, then pushing lebron the other day.. Dude's lucky he's held in high esteem by the league.

I hope the cavs can get past the celtics, forced game 7 yesterday but even if they do pull out a miracle they have the pistons to get through. talk about a hard road.

I'm thinking Boston vs. LA, for old times sake.

ESPN Page 2 - Hill: The dream matchup
here's kind of an interesting article by Jemele Hill, who I usually don't really care for but she [finally] doesn't pull out the race card in this one. Its about why American should root for a Spurs vs. Pistons final.

I don't care half as much about pro basketball as I used to, but I like the Celtics. Larry Bird is my favorite player.
I also like Cleveland and honestly I wanted to see them beat Boston. But as long as the Lakers lose I'm happy ![]()
