sucks... that happened in my town... dude had no chance, was likely impaled by something in the car as soon as it exploded... RIP...

That is so insane to think about.

I watched that over and over, I can't even imagine. I wonder if half way through the race he realized his engine was going to blow up but the gas wouldn't stop. Maybe he smelt the nitro or something, then as soon as he knew he was on fire and still going fast. Then after a second or two of torture and confusion, every thing turns white with a pressure relief.

edit: I don't know why I like thinking about death. It's a spectacular thing to imagine.
