Why are you guys so gay? A 9mm are you serious? I might as well wear a dress to the range. I went to the shop to check out a .44 S&W 629. Before I walked into the store I was sure that was the direction I wanted to go. But after I held it and got a feel for it, I was slightly disappointed. Too light, I thought, and the barrel looked too short in person. I remember shooting one years back and the sound was deafening but now, seeing it again, I don't think I'd be completely happy with it over time...

The search continues...

Why are you so worried about what anyone thinks at the range? You go there to get more comfortable and accurate with your pistol. I am not telling you what to get but I would rather fire three well aimed shots with my Beretta Cougar than try to intimidate someone with a hand cannon.

Dude, I grew up with guns.

They are so much fun. If you needed protection for what ever reason... A .22 semi-auto pistol would do just fine ripping some flesh up.

You wouldn't kill them with two or three shots in the limbs, but you would put them on the ground.

Unless I see them coming in the telescope I'll grab my 270.

You guys have no idea, there is nothing more fun than making a squirrel die before it hits the ground. Or dropping ducks like there's no tomorrow, there's always my signature shot.. dropping a rooster at 30 yards with a full choke. Hunting is so much fun, it's a great stress reliever to know that you just blew the brains out of a prairie dog 75 yards away.

I don't even kill insects anymore. Shooting is a pastime though.

Yeah I'm not at all interested in hunting or protection for that matter. I just enjoy the thrill of busting off rounds. The bang, the kick, the holes. The louder, the harder and the bigger the better.

That's why I don't want a freakin 9mm. They're too restrained. Nothing about them appeals to me except for their practicality and practicality is boring.

this paragraph is disgusting. i understand hunting, but do you eat prarie dogs and squirrels you joyfully kill? do you eat the ducks you kill like there is no tomorrow? you get glee out of watching things die at your armed hand and it makes you happy and giddy, which, is replusive.

I have a Walther P99 QA (9mm) myself. I own various S&W, Glock, Taurus, and others, in all calibers, but found the Walther the most reliable. Incredible mag capacity, low recoil, easy to clean, it really has it all. I also Have a Walther P22 for target shooting, it's what led me to buy the bigger model.

You ate all that shit, right?

At least a pair of gloves?

Cold blooded killer you are, squirrel is quite tasty, and it makes it all justifiable!
