If this brake line leak in the rear happens again and you NEED brakes. Pinch the line with pliers to restrict or stop the flow to the leak. The front brakes will continue to work and you won't run out of brake fluid until you get to the garage. Be careful about the other side back brake pulling the rear a bit when you slow. Have the piece of brake line replaced, bleed and go!!

theres nothing in mothballs that would increase the octane in your fuel
mothballs are full of napthalene. fuel additives (octane boosters) are made mostly of toluene.

Just had an anti-theft system installed and the guy asked me on which circuit I wanted it, starter he said.
I said no....too easy to jump the starter, ECM I said. He'd never done it like that! A first time for everything, I said.

I used to be a truck driver so just thought I'd pass on the lessons I've learned.
get a wire coat hanger and crawl underneath your car and wire a key to the frame and tuck it away. Ive locked my key plus the spare in the wallet a few times. I've also bought the magnetic box and have had it bounce off somehow. That way it's always where you need it...on the outside! If you don't use tools very often...at least go to autozone and pick up a 1/4" drive combination metric/Standard socket set, and toss it behind the seat. Plus 1 phillips head screw driver, and one standard(flat), and pair of pliers. These are mainly for replacing bulbs, headlight bulbs, fuses, hoses, etc. Also carry at least one of each thing just mentioned. Check your tires every trip, if it looks low check it with a gauge (I guess you can add tire gauge to the list) If you have a truck stop near by they usually have free air. Check your spare every month. Join a forum that caters to your specific car. I hate seeing good people, or even bad people get busted by cops because of some simple problem like a bulb out. Oh yeah, replace wipers on a regular basis.

I know quite a few truckers.........one thing I've noticed 'bout 'em is that their cabs have as much stuff in them as I do in my whole house. Inverors/convertors.....micro waves, pc's, nintendo's.....!
Any tips on how to ensure one's machine starts in cold weather?? And plugging in is not an option. Gotta be related to the cca's of the battery, right??

Besides changing them out, IDK Batteries are a mystery to me. When they're new they're awsome, but if you kill one by leaving your lights on or something usually if fairly new they'll be okay. If it's approaching the end months of the battery I'd go ahead and replace. i've also heard to never store them on the ground because they "ground" out.
And clean the connections, a few times I was able to clean the connections and get a start. I lived in Golden, Co for a couple of years and both winters I had to buy batteries??? I think it was some other problem pulling a current on them something. Never did figure that one out.

My friends alternator gave out this week and she was stuck in the middle of nowhere.
She called me and asked me to go get one.........which I did but it was so cold that changing it on the side of the road would of been next to impossible. I brought the power pack and hooked it up to her battery, put a bungie on the hood and followed her home.
