Ashes '09
It's fantastic to have the players on the field
Game 1 is being played in Cardiff, Wales. England is 2 down The Ashes is a best of 5 Test Match series, a test match is a match over 5 days, in that time each team normally gets to bat twice, and bowl twice. It'll be going for a while Any other fans? anyone...

Man I missed this thread, we are tinging you, bet you come back like a swarm of angry hornets though, Ponting looks well pissed off.
Gotta say Flintoff was awesome, makes a change, usually we are so unagressive.

watching replays of the first session atm
it looked like australia would win after those first 30 overs, then two QUICK wickets, and your mob look well up now

Meh you didn`t have to come back like a swarm of angry hornets, don`t mind if we went down fighting but that was limp.
All eyes on the Oval, if you`re gonna keep the ashes I hope we at least make you fight for them. England are never comfortable leading.

Did last time.
Pah! We`ll see. No unfortunately, been difficult to get to a tv recently, did see some of the first two tests down the pub. I`m not a long time cricket follower, I`ve just got really into the Ashes this year for some reason.

i was very happy to see you here i'm no johnson fan, i rate clark more but he worked collingwood brilliantly then took the wicket with an inswinging yorker on the last ball of the over, probably the over of the series

Johnson has bowled pretty awesomely.
Things look good for us, you were unlucky to lose the toss, the pitch is deteriorating. Katich put it down to our bowling rather than the pitch though. Broad and Swann are popular round these parts (btw I`m working within 300 yds of the oval atm) As long as there are no disasters this morning, fingers crossed, and the weather stays ok...

Johnson has bowled rubbish
i dont think he knows what he's bowling half the time swann held up his end very well, and applied pressure broad pulled out some unplayables 8 wickets in a season is pretty good going i cant see us chasing 500 on that pitch
