I would be more worried about the xanax than the betablockers. Both xanax and marijuana act as central nervous system depressants. One of my best friends is 52 and takes betablockers because he had a heart attack awhile back. His doctor told him that he couldnt drink like he used to but the marijuana shouldn't cause any problems with his medication. Just monitor your blood pressure and pulse but you should be doing that anyway. If either one drop though you will instantly know it because you will be lightheaded and such.
The marijuana and xanax with do about the same thing. If anything, you will get a quicker and more mellow buzz being on nerve medication. I was on prozac for awhile though and it made me so grouchy that I had to stop taking it. I didn't eat or sleep the whole time I was on it. I have been on xanax for about 2 years now. I get the good ones.........the 1mg blue ones. And weed never hurt me or made me sick when smoked with my medication.
But you should be quite alright still smoking weed as long as you feel its not harming you. You know your body better than anyone and it will tell you if you need to stop smoking. But I seriously doubt that your medication will effect your smoking abilities. If anything, you will have a better buzz. I have never told any of my patients to stop smoking so I'm sure you will be fine.
