You're everything that terrifies me You're my oppressors You're my contesters You're the mind behind the shadows in the corners of the basement You're the eyes behind the anger looking at me with fists clenched Even though I can't see you just right I'ma beat you down, man Even though you're in the shadows I'm going to beat... you... down You can't say these things to me You can't sneak up and scare me You can't invade my space and stare me You can't take my innocence You can't take my innocence You can't take my purity To my enemies I beat you down and now my fists are bloody the mirror broke and all that was left was me I beat you

^I may take you up on that. Although, I never really have done any poetry readings but I've been thinking about it. I think I did a couple in HS but I don't even think I took them to contest or anything and I sucked at it... but maybe with my own and my own emotions that went into it. I may give it a try tomorrow.
