Our Mother, and the Disrespectful Children
Mother gave us branches,
-the children overlooked them.
We built houses,
-and try to dwell above them.

Mother gave us clean waters,
-the children ignored them.
We made them into sewers,
-and try to live without them.

Mother gave us fresh air,
-the children disrespect this.
We never learned to share,
-and try to hide this.

Mother gave us life,
-the children don't acknowledge it.
We created a knife,
-and we will all die by it.

Now I say, before the treacherous storms,
-Mother wash us away!
Every day, we circle death in swarms.
-Mother wash our filth away!

Your children have never grown,
-Mother show us the WAY!
Some can only see what is shown,
-Mother show them the way...

People believed that animals had souls which were immortal and they were reborn after death.


Animals were considered the equals of humans in general intelligence.
Eagles fly the highest of all living beings, and to have eyesight that can see into the soul.
Eagle being the Principle Messenger of the Creator.
Eagle flies the closest to Great Mystery.

They can see the past, present and future at a glance.
Eagle is the great illuminator and soars above us all.
Eagle teaches us that it is okay to combine wisdom and courage.
It is okay to be wise enough to know that a change needs to be made in one's life and then finding the courage to execute the change.
