so hard to not just take a quick look back.
But I'm not alive then,
Nor in my expectations of when,
I'm only alive now,
so what does this all mean to me,
hard to say, harder to see.

Try to avoid the stress.
Take a quick puff burn the loungs and scar the flesh.
Just another way to get something off one's chest.

now I realize it's not about sight
or some blundering inner might,
it is what it is.
simple as your first kiss.

everything seems so complicated,
when you look with skeptical eyes.
when really everything is sedated,
waiting for you to close those eyes.

So join me this time and,
we'll take a quick puff burn our loungs and scar the flesh.

These days seems like:
Everybody's looking for a mask.
An' Everybody's looking at things as tools.
When life is the only real task,
we all know running in circles is for fools.

Are we all really that bored,
that all our time can afford,
Is trying to avoid the stress.
Taking a quick puff burning the loungs and scaring the flesh.
Just looking for another way to get something off our chests.
