Philosophy of Religion

First day of this new class
Holy hell, my professor isn't objective in the least
I can tell these two and a half hours each week
will be a struggle to survive
I already want out, not 2 hours in.
I came to learn, not hear him prosetlyze.
I've shut him out
All I can focus on are varicose veins and coffee stains
His face is very familiar yet I can't place it.
Moments later it comes to me
He looks like Flounder.
Not the fish, but the frosh.
That chubby loser from Animal House
Plus 60.

-------

Just some crap I wrote today in my Philosophy of Religion class

good stuff

those philosophy classes can be tough - you really have to go in with an open mind

And I definitely am going in with an open mind. I'm just mad disappointed that it's already seeming to be a "Philosophy of Christianity with some Judaism mixed in" class. I was looking forward to expanding my religious horizons but it doesn't seem to be the case.

Haha, I'm actually planning on taking it again with another professor whom I really like. He's 23 and we play COD4 on Xbox Live and he's mad cool to just talk with. He was my first choice but his class was full. I don't even care if it's a noncredit class, I still want to take it. lol

if that's the case man why don't you learn about the philosophy of christianity and get a good grade. it's good stuff to boot. and if your prof's anything like the average christian it'll be easy to school him with direct quotes from jesus every time he pushes a sense of the world which doesn't have to do with kindness, generosity, and self-empowerment. could be a fun year.
