aspiring children's poet

do any of you know any aspiring children poets? Nobody I know wants to write for kids. i would love to, and I'm thinking my odds aren't too terrible because no one else seems interested in this area of lit.

I like the blatant anti capitalism, pro-environment story of the Lorax. I don't think that one is too thinly veiled.

The giving tree is a great book too.

I am totally interested in writing and drawing for kids!

i have 2 books already written and 2 on the go....

writing for kids is what i want to do for a living... I even went out and bought..."Writing for children for Dummies" although I already have a million and 1 ideas in my head already.

the book did give me a guide line of what you have to do, but then again it also put up mental baeacades because i fret when it comes to what i have to do in regards to an editor or publisher or the years it takes to get a book published...or getting an agent. I myself am just going to keep writing and drawing until i get a surplus of projects done....one of them is bound to get recognition i pray.

God knows my imagination is...well lets just say...it's out there.

it does help, the book.

I'm a recluse so i havent gotten anything even closed to looking at yet.
