Next train
She says,
"What are you doing?"
I'm sitting down,
by the rail-road tracks,
waiting for the next train,
to come and take me away.
She says,
"Why don't you just come home?"
Because I know this town.
Tired of dodging the same side-walk cracks.
Theres nothing here for me to gain.
I have nothing else to say.
"is this really good-bye?",
she put on her night gown.
Loaded her things into carry-on packs,
and stepped into a carpet stain.
There's never a reason to stay.
Felt good to throw that one out there, haha.
edit - I'm having too much fun
Like an angel wounded from battle,
I hear it get's better.
But no one's really sure if angels can die.
More word's less death rattle,
cuz I've never met her.
when shes passing me right on by,
don't mutter, don't sigh,
stand firm on your feet,
meet eye, to eye,
and lend her your seat.
The obstacle in the chase,
because she can't see my face.
They swear it get's better,
but I've never met her.
They say, "your so clever",
I'm sitting here chewing on my sweater,
the nature of nervous weather.
