Fool Without a Cause (new poem)

It may seem stupid, or just rambling to you, but it was perfect at the time I wrote it.

A blind,
bleeding heart,
fool
Stumbles errantly
between one dismal failure,
misinterpreted
yet comical
emotional connections,
and a dull, hollow shell:
a sad invention
of a cynical mind.
And, emerges again
after hastily applying
colorful band-aids
to festering wounds.
Seeking only a cause,
he walks softly
chasing hushed whispers
through the barren,
empty wasteland
of his own
lonely
existance.
