Human Husk
This poem is written to my father, a man whom i used to hang out with, but is now inoperative because of cancer. I don't know anyone else, but its hard to see a person you used to know become a shell because of some disease. Anyway, heres the poem
That man, I don’t know him He’s not the person I came to call my own He’s just a shell for the ghost Or perhaps a carbon drone So leave me alone when you ask In whom do you trust I used to believe in him But he’s now just a human husk
