So i was just at the coffee shop and it was full of europeans..i think they were chequoslovakian or something..anyways.. they were on a bus i assumed they were hockey players or something. anyways..i was driving my dads new custom ordered fully loaded black F150 sport..its a beautiful truck..i come outside and there are 10 of them surrounding the truck looking in the windows..i had to open it u and letthem look inside haha..they told me they loved it and that they dontget to drive such nice big vehicles in europe..and when talking amongst themselves i heard one say.."and shes a woman" haha. it was quite an interesting "car/truck" experience.

Eisenhower when he greenlit America's highway system, wanted as many straight lines as possible to be used as emergency runways for aircraft. Most of the US's cities have a grid pattern to them, hardly any traffic circles of any kind.

Also the US has one of the highest numbers of highway hypnosis.

American driving is not meant to be an 'engaging' event like it is in Europe and many other places, which is why most Americans care about the number of cupholders over the quality of the engine.
North Carolina has really embraced beltways and turnabouts. This impressed me a lot coming from upstate ny.
