kanye the rottweiler
early friday morning there was a rottweiler in the driveway, he had a big heavy chain collar and no tag. went and got a leash and as soon as he saw it he was all excited to be on the leash, he knew many commands like "sit" and "lie down" and he was so friendly and calm and nice, he smelled good like he had been recently bathed with perfumy shampoo.
he still had his balls and his head was about waist high, and holding his leash it was obvious he could yank me off my feet with little effort. he was a big heavy dog so we tied him to the apple tree near the road thinking whoever belongs to him will show up pretty soon. nobody showed up. called the spca and humane society and left name and number, no missing rotties reported. took him for a walk to see if he would just go home, but he wandered aimlessly smelling all the bushes and flowers, going nowhere. friday night he cried like a baby, it was the saddest sound i have ever heard a dog make, he moaned and howled and wimpered, he must have missed his human terribly all saturday we went everywhere putting up signs "Male Rottweiler Found!" and asking everybody "do you know anybody that lost their dog?" nobody knew. a bunch of different ppl said "how lucky you are!" becuz it seems these are like $500 dogs, and a bunch said right away "how much you want for him?" but nobody knew where he lived. more than one person suggested we should make some money off stud fees before returning him. he seemd perfectly happy when he had food and water and a toy to tear apart, and someone to scritch him and talk to him, but when he was left alone his sadness would overtake him, and hed start moaning again saturday night about 11:30, i looked out the window to see how he was doing, and he was gone. i though he had probly chewed thru the leash id tied him with, i went out to the tree calling "kanye! kanye! where are you boy?" but the leash wasnt chewed, it had been unhooked from his collar and just left there, and he was gone as mysteriously as he arrived. |

hes fine, but he was walking in the road and likely to get splattered
he walked right up to me and smiled and stuck his nose in my crotch. who can resist such charm? so now hes tied to the apple tree again, and i guess whoever came and got him last time will come and get him again. |
