Alnums you should be aware of...

I stole this idea from another forum, but that's another forum with another set of opinions.

So I figure, list, post album art and tell us what albums you think the rest of the world definatly needs to know about...please try and refrain from simple lists coz that helps none of us.

I'm in need of new music, who isnt, so I figure lets get the ball rollin.

My picks of the moment,

Blind Melon - Soup EP. definatly a nice chill rock album and worth at the very least a download.

CKY - Infiltrate.Destroy.R ebuild it may have a bad rep, but it's something different, as they describe it, nothing but rock.

and last but not least,

Ween - Chocolate and Cheese...it's just damn good, but don't take it too seriously...no album art here, my pic is too big and I cbf resizing.

abigor-orkblut

Clutch - Blast Tyrant, although I enjoy all Clutch for their stoner rock sound but this album just stood out to me. Definatly worth checkin out, oh and they put on an awesome live show.

Mind if I step in? Good.

Aphex Twin - Richard D. James Album

Filled with energy and relaxation both. The album to have if you are into drugs.

Bjork - Debut

The best vocals I've ever heard, and good beats thoughout. Has brought me overwhelming joy.

The Decemberists - The Tain EP

One 21 minute trackbased off the early-irish epic The Cattle-Raid of Cooley (The Tain). Lyricly and musiclly amazing.

Eyedea and Abilities - First Born

The first album from the battle rapper Eyedea and just simply amazing DJ and producer Ablities. Explores insanity, isolation, depression, post tramatic stress disorder, philosophy, and much more. Contains amazing beats and good flow all the way though.

Janis Joplin - Pearl

The last album from a true legend, released just 4 months before her death. Full Tilt Boogie, the band on the album rocks hard, but never tries to compete with her unique voice like Big Brother and the Holding Company and the Kozmic Blues Band did. Trully an emotion album, and essensial for anyone who calls themselves a music lover.

Radiohead - Kid A

Requires no explaintion, basicly, if you aren't aware, you need to be right now.

Rilo Kiley - More Adventurous or The Execution Of All Things

One of Saddle Creck Records true delights, Jenny Lewis is an inspiration to thousands of depressed teenage girls everywhere, and an inspiration to me too. Her voice portrays a life of depression, lost-love, and the beauty in between. Both albums never failed to make me happy, until I stopped being able to listen due to connections with a certain girl.

Jay Z + DJ Danger Mouse - The Grey Album

It created a lot of controversy and is curiously good. A mixture if Jay-z's The Black Album and The Beatles' The White Album is pretty hard to mess up I supppose.

You should know all these by now, but if you don't, you need to download them now. I'm done for now.

Awesome amounts of music being added here people...I'm going to add one obvious contender.

The Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots

A solid cd to sit back, smoke and have a good think to...anybody in this thread has no doubt heard of the lips but if you've ever wondered, "are they any good?" wonder no more and check out this album.

i thought of a few, and the nostalgia of revisiting the album covers carried me on for awhile.

so in no particular order...

and absolutely positively superduperliciously:

hopefully you're familiar, in which case just consider this a reminder to revisit the goodness.
