What's up today FamHookaly? Hope everyone is doing well today and that there is good things in the air for ya. Today I'm going to get some formating done from my wife's online class and help to make that look at nice to be a document. Other than that, I slept from 1130-530, got up with a bit of a tight head, 3 beers no water last nite, but I'll feel nice soon as this glass soaks in.

There aren't many this morning but good day to you.

I like it really. Gets me on the cushion and on the bus more efficiently.

At my house, it's the dang birds and the sun coming up!
Gets me up for Fajr (dawn prayer) more efficiently, and more pleasantly
than an alarm clock.

I like getting up with the cats, much like the birds. I'm in a much better frame of mind to sit for morning meditation that getting up with an alarm, so my wake up time is pretty broad. Farj must be pretty early this time of year, no?

Hi SageTree, Yes, Fajr does come in early, at around 3:30 a.m. I agree- the frame of mind is much better. An attitude of gratitude is much easier to cultivate when not awakened by something that sounds like an air-raid siren.

I like that state of mind before you totally wake up and start 'realizing' all the things that 'make' up our lives, but are rather with the still of the moment. This is what I like about sitting in the morning, and just getting up early in general. I feel more practiced for the day before it even gets to a rolling boil.
