I think I'll be getting arrested on August 18th. - I'll be holding a FLAG burning session. I'll have my own fire extinguisher but my bet is the "COPS" won't let me do it. Read press release below:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances

On Friday August 18, 2006 at 12 pm in the park in front of the New Jersey Statehouse, U.S. Senatorial candidate Edward “njweedman” Forchion will hold a “flag burning” session. Ed plans on holding a press conference which will end in his burning the U.S. and New Jersey flag as a protest to Christian state officials who have taken his child. Because he is openly not a Christian, and openly calls for the LEGALIZATION of MARIJUANA.

Here in America the most holy of American symbols of freedom is the U.S. flag. Every American is taught in America you have the right to freedom of Religion and the right to freedom of speech. Yet, because I’m not a Christian and openly call for the legalization of marijuana the State of New Jersey has taken my parental rights. The freedoms that this flag represent no-longer exist. The Do-gooder fundamentalist Christians have taken over the Government and are engaging in persecution of non-Christians and those who speak-out against our nations Christian based policies. Our press ignores the persecution of non-Christians.

While the U.S. Constitution say’s the Government cannot respect one religion over another in my case the mother of my child (Ajanea) Linda Holden a born-again Christian objects to my not being a non-Christian and my political avocation for the legalization of the sacrament of my faith “marijuana”. She refuses to allow me visitation. The religiously intolerant bigots on the Biurlington County Court have sided with her. Judge Morley of the Burlington County family court has refused to enforce my parental rights because of my “public views”. Judge Sweeney ordered that my child’s name be changed because of my “public views”. I have not seen my daughter in over a year!!! Yet we have 130,000 in Iraq in the name of Freedom. BULLSHIT!!!

Last year I ran for the office of the Governor as a way of protesting the current marijuana laws. I was fired from my job and attacked by police. I didn’t expect to win but I didn’t expect to once again lose my daughter. For the same reasons I was illegally imprisoned in 2002 (www.njweedman.com/censorship), the State of New Jersey has now taken my child in spite of Federal ruling:

FLAG BURNING PROTEST
N.J. Weedman burns U.S. flag in protest of court’s actions

TRENTON – Edward Robert Forchion promised to burn an American flag yesterday at the Statehouse. And he, uh did. Sort of.

Yes, the “NJWeedman” had returned here to the statehouse where he had been previously arrested on May 11, 2005, when state Trooper Rasinsky grabbed him at the main entrance on charges of trespassing and disorderly conducted. He’d been a Senate candidate at the time, as he is now, delivering press releases. (That trial remains in limbo.)

This week, Forchion 42, sent out another of his inimitable press releases, summoning the press/moths to his flame, quoting Congress about the freedom of speech and press and religion and right to assemble and so on. This was prior to a press conference that “will end in his burning the U.S. and New Jersey flag as a protest to Christian State officials who have taken his child,” Weedman warned.

“Because he is openly not a Christian, and openly calls for the LEGALIZATION OF MARIJUANA.” Because of his, he added, N.J. “has taken my parental rights.”

State Police had also gotten wind of Weedman’s hijinks. At high noon yesterday two groups of a dozen troopers covered Veterans Park just across State Street, where Weedman promised to “hold a ‘flag burning’ session.” One group – Sgt. 1st Class Dave Maruca, Sgt. Eric Fowlkes and Detective Sgt. John Cappetta – was armed with a fire extinguisher. They had already read Weedman the riot act.

There is a statute against desecration of venerated objects – public monument, symbol of structure,” said Cappetta. “Plus, he’ll be arrested for not having a permit for an open fire.”

Weedman was at a picnic table at the back of Veterans Park. He talked about his 11-year-old daughter IN Lumberton, how his ex-fiancé through Burlington County Family Court had changed the girls name from his, and cut off his visits – all because the fiancé is a born-again Christian, and he’s a dope-promotin’ Rastafarian. He called this “an absurd, obscene violation of my rights.”

After a half-hour, Weedman admitted he’d used the flag burning ruse to lure reporters out to discuss his family court case. Said we wouldn’t have come if he hadn’t done otherwise. Reporters eyed the large old flag he’d brought. It lay folded on the table. He said he’d been in the National Guard, the U.S. Marines, the U.S. Army, and he’d brought this flag from an army base in West Germany back in the day.

But at the last minute, as he flicked his light, he admitted that flag was too scared to him. Weedman instead unrolled a tiny flag like the tourist buy – unrolled and lit it. It burned without flamboyance.

“I didn’t want to set the grass on fire,” he said sheepishly. State Police didn’t budge.

“We saw it,” said Sgt. Maruca. “There was nothing that created a public hazard, so therefore, we used some discretion on that.” Obviously, the destruction of the little flag is okay. The Weedman was free to burn again.

For over a year I've been bitching that the state took my kid because of my POLITICAL VIEWS, no-one reported it. I burn a flag it's page two news. -- Also I was on TV12 news doing and two newspapers are now investigating my charges. -- I don't have money for lawyers but did file my own lawsuit : http://www.njweedman.com/federal_family_lawsuit.htm

Can you imagine that? Having your KID taken because your not a Democrat/Republican or Christian and have the nerve to openly espouse your own views and beliefs!!!!

The symbol of Freedom this flag represents is no-longer true. We don't have freedom so why should we still the hold the flag up as a symbol of the freedoms we don't have anymore!!!!

There are a lot of things that happen in America similar to this that just don't get reported. Openly non-christians don't think of this as strange, they know it to be normal. What's abnormal about this is I'm openly fighting it.

Putting people in cages for smoking "cannabis" for instance is truely strange.
