wuts your favorite/most used piece(s) of software?
so, today, im going through and cleaning my comp, getting rid of crap i dont use anymore.
i have a lot of software, some pretty powerful stuff, that i either have no use for (windows media player) or i just never learned (microsoft visual studio 6 pro). anyways, im only going to keep the software i actually use, and i tell you, i love some of this stuff, three in particular. DVD Decrypter, DVD Shrink, and Vob Blanker are, by far, the best pieces of software that i have ever used in my life! and, combined with an account for netflix, it is the perfect thing for building my dvd library. i love them! anyways, how bout u? what's your fave software that completes your pc experience? |

these days the most common pieces of software i use are.
torrent client, msn messenger, firefox, autocad, teamspeak, nero burning rom, TMPEGEnc dvd author or encoder, windows media player classic, limewire, winamp, irc, microsoft excel, microsoft word, VLC media player, dvd shrink, matlab, winrar, emulators, isobuster. thats about all i can think of that i use at least a few times or constantly throughout the week. probably the top 3 most used are... torrent client, msn messenger, and winamp. as these are probably running on my computer 24/7 nonstop, music maybe stopped but program still likely open.

I use firefox more than anything.
Tagscanner is my favorite MP3 tag editor ever - looks up full album data from the CDDB. Dev-C++ is commonly launched, but mostly to grade other students' work. I'm trying to use WinEdt more often - it's a windows LaTeX editor - .tex files are so much quicker for document production.
