Heat issues

Hola!..

NoooOoob Here...
and have some questions as I go ... building this lil venture of mine.

OK.. have the Bubbler all set ( 5 gal pail , 2 stones/growing medium etc)

Now for my closet..
I live in an apartment and I have no way to control heat from the Lamp. What is the highest Wattage I should go as far as Lamps are concerned.

The area is 2 X 4

Is there any good way to control the heat without cutting holes.. etc..

Circulation issues ? any suggestions?

Odor I picked up one of the pail BLOCKS... I hope that does the trick

Anywho.. .Nice to meet yall,

Only growing a single plant, I like the idea of perfecting something.. So I dedicate all my time studying the one plant.. hehe

LOL.. Rereading that... I realize my ADD kicked in.. LOL all over the place..

I also live in an apt. What I had to do was just leave the door open when the lamps were on with a fan blowing in. I was able to keep the temps around 78-80 when I did that.

Thats what I thought about doing, What are you using for Lighting System?

a 400w HPS and 2 80w HPS.

When I wasn't using the fan, just left the doors open, temps would get in the 90's. With the doors closed they'd reach 130+.

Hmmm.. thats a lil warm.. hehe...
sooo.. Doors open... fan... so far its the only thing I have seen that makes sense. With one plant do you think I can get away with a 250wHPS or should I stick with the 400wHps....

LOL... Just hope we get no visitors.. LOL ... Will have to keep the inlaws away..

a 250 is more than enough for one plant. If you are able to handle your issues, you should be very happy at the final result.

What are you growing? Bag seed?

Great less money... and hopefully less heat

I think the first couple grows, I will use bag seed, As to learn the basics...

Any suggestion on germination techniques?

a few people here swear by paper towel/cloth method. I just plant and water, I'm old school like that.

Awesome.. You plant in Soil>? I am gonna do a hydro setup, so I am curious on when they pop what should I germinate them .. rockwool... peat..etc..

Then what kind of lighting...

Sorry I am full of questions, Just want to learn as much as humanly possible.. I have some books and all..just like to hear what other people are doing
