dylan continues to be a pioneer in the rock genre, seamlessly integrating folk sounds into a blues-based form of singing/writing. a one-man band, a wild mind, a distinct feel to this very day. hes credited with introducing the beatles to drug-influenced musicianship by some. the guy has fallen off in his old age, but theres no doubt hes a legend.
pantera are cowboys from hell. one of the more talented(?) guitar heavy bands... but really, unless youre 15 and like to masturbate to metallica, you should try to grow up out of that 80s-90s transition metal. without bands like pantera, we probably wouldnt have such gems as slipknot and disturbed.

actually, i think it has to do with the sheer amount of production. i tend to agree. i dont want to hear a song with a robot voice and electronic sounds that never waiver. i want to hear human voice and hands playing human instruments with different tones. its the same reason i prefer real drums to electronic ones, the same reason i prefer vinyl over cd.
