i really had no idea how dependant i'd be on opiates when i first came to this board.

i was an alcoholic, chain smoker, who did his fair share of "other highs" but really never gave a hoot intill weed and ciggs where taken away. once it was, i really started to notice the distance from most of the board, except here.

instead of being shamed that i'd take up a heroin addiction instead of subjecting my lungs too yet more pot smoke, i atleast got a few positive responses in this area. this is wonderful.

too often people scorn what they fear and dont understand, you people raise questions though to these beatiful substances that have severly reduced my pain in what i now know to be the end of my days.

this is why i love each and every one of you.

i'm currently a patient of hospis, i have more morphine in my morphine stream than that red goop, and i most of the time i can barely breath.

but i seriously dont care, im loaded, and feel practiculaly nothing. even the panic from not breathing is severly reduced.

these drugs are not all dark sinister evil substances that turns all people into theifs, whores, and murders, they also help people.

i want every last one of you to remember that.

DO NOT FORGET!

it is your responsibility as a informed drug user to not biasly bash any drug simply due to lack of knowledge, and to speak up when needed to add information to the general public.

i know this doesnt always work, but atleast try this.

other than that, i have very few parting words.

The most dangerous drug on this planet has to be oxygen.

A gateway drug to say the least, further more people use without even consideration, not consenting to moderation in the least, and dont even get me started on the withdrawels.

the goal of alchemy is to turn lead into gold. to take a substance and combine it with another substance that makes it more than it's origenal worth. in this sense, you really need to start making bronze statues of your pharmacist or local chemist, for they have made gods own medicine, morphine, and in contrast, a shiney rock doesnt seem to compete.

thats very sad news and hits close to home sense i also battled opiates and have chronic illness.

Its easy to forget here that some times when we are having fun yahooka style other people here are really suffering.

i just made a blog about this issue cause i went through a lot of the same things and i suggest u all check it out. It does a pretty good job of showing the effects of knowing u having a illness like that and just what it can do to ones self worth.

I didn't even know you were sick buddy. God bless. I had some problems with heroin too, but still see the general value of it...but then again I never really used it for physical pain.
